    The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage Poll

    I know there was a thread for reviews, but I wanted to do a poll. I have yet to ride, but will in either late July or early August.

    I don't understand the premise of your poll. What has Submarine Voyage got to do with succeeding Pirates of the Caribean or Haunted Mansion - - since its a reworking of a classic attaction that predates both?

    Well in many ways it is a new ride, using a ride system from 1959. The reason I mentioned POTC and HM are because those are the pinnacle of Disney rides. I can't really consider FNSV the real Submarine Voyage, because it has changed so drastically in story and theme. It would almost be like if the IASW dolls were replaced by the POTC, same track and ride system, but totally different experience. But since you mention it, it might not be completely fair to judge an attraction built off of one from 1959 to attractions from the late 1960s. However, that 100 million plus spent on FNSV should have gone the distance.

    "Is it as good as a Disney classic?" is essentially what he's asking. No, but it's still a good effort.

    I guess they won't be making a movie out of the ride. Unless they make a Finding Nemo 2...

    (If they do make a Finding Nemo 2 I wonder if a part of it will reference the subs).

    We rate it so-so with a plus at the end (I guess a C+) (and we only had a 15 minute wait!).

    The color, "live" effects are nice, but too much dead space in between them.

    It's certainly better than letting the ride sit idle...

    Kudos for that!

    I didn't vote in the poll since I didn't actually ride the sub, I was in the MOO. I thought it was a cute idea and the way it was presented in the MOO was clever.

    Uncle John has promised that no more Disney animated sequels will be made (because they're, well, embarrassing).

    The ride is good...yeah.

    It's not sequels, it's direct to DVD sequels.

    I voted once a trip only because there was no option for every so often. To be honest I haven't been on it sonce the previews. It's nor worth anything longer than a 10 to 20 minute wait to me.certainly not worth the line I saw on my last visit :rolleyes;

    I would like a reference to Monty Pythin's Meaning of Life, Find the fish scene.

    Nemo took me about 45 minutes and I liked it a lot, but I know there is a connection between line length and ride satisfaction. I remember waiting in my longest line for Indy way back when it opened. It was over 2 hours and when I finally got on the ride I wasn't thrilled. I never went on it again until fastpass. Then I could realize what a great ride it is. Now I can even enjoy it after a line of an hour. (but no longer!)
