Yes my mistake , it is paris and not tokyo. And this comes from the inside, that they are going with Armagedon and also The stunt car show. We'll see what that does for DCA but it couldnt hurt.

What I find intriquing about Mr. DooDah's rumor is the fact he indicated that several high caliber attractions will be coming to DCA along with the land expansion. What's not to believe about this. The Timon parking lot and area linking it to the Wharf represents a large chunk of land. Plus, there has been a buzz going about a possible LIM coaster/dark ride being added to the Wharf it's self.

Now, I'm not that thrilled about Armageddan either. If DCA should get this attraction, I seriously doubt that it would be the loser version at the Paris Resort. It may even be a ride, as Ouimet and others know that the lack of rides at DCA is part of the overall problem that needs to be fixed. An Incredibles based ride is likely to be a headliner attraction. It might even involve some sort of portable Robocoaster technology in conjunction with an indoor 3-D/dark ride atmosphere.

A Catastrophe Canyon tram ride would add needed motion to the park. Lights, Camera, Motors would also be great. Perhaps some or all of the attractions will be completely unique and unexpected. The point is that just because Walt Disney Studios' Armageddan SUCKS does not mean that this rumor is invalid, or that DCA will not improve.

One things certain, the California theme is DEAD as a door nail. I look forward to a new name and overall theme within the next year or two. If Pixar decides at the last minute to renew it's partnership, the title Disney-Pixar Studios would't surprise me. This is pretiy much what the park has become anyway.

Ive heard a rumor of Rock'n Roller Coaster coming there. But because of TOT, They might not build in that area for a while now.

Easy... in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area.

The Armageddon attraction idea is in mothballs. This is an old rumor and it's total BS. The Paris show sucks.

The next DCA attractions or upgrades are a Monsters, Inc. dark ride and a TOT drop sequence change. Also, a show idea was being tossed around to replace an attraction that closed last year. The Lion King parking IMO is safe for a number of years.

Where does this guy get phase 4 anyway? I'd say we haven't seen Phase 2 yet.

Any new quality attraction that they can add to DCA would be a huge boost to the park, but I would really like to see something new, not some rehash of some old ride that's been around for the last 10 years. Doesn't that fit in with the California theme - new - fresh - different (or is that some medication that I'm taking). Anyway - lets go on with the DCA improvement. It's time to launch PHASE 1.5!

Has there even been a Phase I?
All joking aside, why don't we all just say what we want to say and put up Western River Expo. That ride will guarantee vistors plus theme out nicely.

Put a couple more bars over there too. Thank you.

Lights, Motors, Action! is probably the only attraction I could see coming from Paris (Cinemagique is reportedly also good, but I believe there is a copyright issue that prevents it from being brought to the US). I'd rather see something else, however. It's a very LOUD show and given the size of DCA and the ride's placement being necessarily toward the center of the park, you would hear the explosions park wide, which is less than ideal (they would have to make the show facing inwards, with guests seated w/ their back to the park, so that all sound would enter the park, since I doubt Anaheim residents want all that noise blasting through the city).

anything that's easier to say than the current tongue twister: california adventure is fine by me. most people don't know the abbreviation DCA, so i always have to say the whole name. people shouldn't be annoyed by having to say the name of your theme park, ykwim? lol!!

C'mon people - we know the California theme is dead. It is an Adventure park in California! Simple change, just change how you pronounce it disney's california ADVENTURE PARK.

Doesn't that make you want to spend more time there?

There are many things that can be linked to California that would be interesting -
As mentioned an Earthquake type adventure
The original Herbie was in San Francisco - how about a crazy car ride through the streets of San Francisco?
It would need too much space but you could use the test track technology but make it themed to the famous Bullitt car chase sequence in San Francisco.
How about a Barbary Coast "land" Get out of the contemporary and do some interesting historical.
For those of the very liberal bent, they could put platforms in large redwood trees and you could pretend that you fighting the evil lumber company. - OK sorry for the unnecessary politcal rant!
How about an "Escape from Alcatraz" type of attraction.

I should stop procrastinating and get back to work.

Those are great ideas for attractions. I agree that they should try to re-theme DCA (with new name as well).

This guy is right. Armageddon isnt true. Its too much like spacemountain anyway. The next ride after Monsters INC. is most likley going to be Rock'n Rollercoaster. really sure of it!

Might as well level it and start over... It won't happen, I know - They are still hoping "Mike and Sculley can save the Park..." but there simply is way too much dead space and closed restaurants and empty closed attractions... Miss used land... A huge reflextion pool that does NOTHING but eat all the shoes kids kick in... (I have seen this happen three times...)

Hey, you are right... Perhaps the aliens hit it LONG ago...

it was a really cheap park (500 mill) and the park hours are less then disneyland. add in food, admission, and souveneers (spelling?) and I bet it makes money or atleast keeps even.
    (insert funny comment here)
