    July 14, 2007 - A DMCA-style Gumball Rally

On Saturday, July 14th a few of us decided to see if it were possible to do every attraction at Disneyland, now with the Submarines back up and running.

Sunnygirl, ScarLion, Grumpy4, myself and special guest MTNGirl all decided it would be a fun way to spend a Saturday at the park.

The key would be having fun and enjoying the day itself DMCA-style, rather than rushing around to the point where it would no longer be fun.

MTNGirl, ScarLion and SunnyGirl waiting for the gates to open and begin our quest.

Sunnygirl and Anders before the adventure begins.

The first thing we did was take the Omnibus up Main Street to get our first attraction out of the way. We then headed on over to the Nemo Subs, where we waited an hour and a half (I ran off during the wait and got fast passes for Autopia, Buzz Lightyear and Space Mountain).

We stopped by the hub to pick up some caffiene and snacks and then headed to Fantasyland.

First up, we headed to Dumbo.

Then across the walkway to the Carrousel.

I don't remember what attractions we did in what order at that point. We had a nice lunch at Hungry Bear though.

We took a mid-afternoon spin on the Mad Tea Party

Towards the end of the evening we had dinner at Rancho and then watched the first Fantasmic! show of the day. We then headed off to ride Big Thunder during the first part of the fireworks and then headed towards Fantasyland to watch the end of the fireworks from behind the castle.

To end the night we ended up taking the Monorail to Downtown Disney leaving the park around 10:00 p.m. as we had had enough.

Grumpy4, ScarLion, MTNGirl and Sunnygirl exhausted after a long day.

While we didn't do every attraction, we did do 31 of the attractions that Disney lists on the official Disneyland website.

    Autopia, presented by Chevron
    Mad Tea Party
    Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin
    Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    Indiana Jones™ Adventure
    Space Mountain
    Splash Mountain
    Star Tours
Disneyland®: The First 50 Magical Years
    Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
Enchanted Tiki Room, presented by Dole®
    Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
Gadget's Go Coaster, presented by Sparkle®
    Haunted Mansion
    Jungle Cruise
    Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
    Pirates of the Caribbean
    Snow White's Scary Adventures
    Alice in Wonderland
    Casey Jr. Circus Train
    Chip 'n Dale Treehouse
    Dumbo the Flying Elephant
    "it's a small world"
    King Arthur Carrousel
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
    Pinocchio's Daring Journey
    Disneyland® Monorail
    Disneyland® Railroad - Main Street, U.S.A.
Disneyland® Railroad - New Orleans Square
    Disneyland® Railroad - Mickey's Toontown
Omnibus, presented by National Car Rental

    We didn't do these attractions
    Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes
    Frontierland Shootin' Exposition
    Starcade
    Tarzan's Treehouse™
    Matterhorn Bobsleds
    The Disney Gallery
    Innoventions
    Main Street Cinema
Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island
    Astro Orbitor
"Honey, I Shrunk the Audience," presented by Kodak
    Donald's Boat
    Goofy's Playhouse
    Peter Pan's Flight
    Storybook Land Canal Boats
    Disneyland® Railroad - Tomorrowland
Fire Engine, presented by National Car Rental
Horse-Drawn Streetcars, presented by National Car Rental
Horseless Carriage, presented by National Car Rental
    Mark Twain Riverboat
    Sailing Ship Columbia

Though, our goal was to replicate the MiceChat Gumball Rally from last fall. On the original Gumball Rally the Main Street vehicles only needed to have one done, so those don't count. Also, only one trip around the Rivers of America was needed, so we only missed one there. Donald's Boat and Goofy's Playhouse weren't on the list either. The Starcade and Disney Gallery were also not on the original list.

So, that leaves us with the following missed attractions

Rivers of America (Canoes, Mark Twain, Columbia)
    Pirates Lair
    Frontierland Shootin' Exposition
    Main Street Cinema

    Tarzan's Treehouse
    Matterhorn
    Innoventions
    Astro Orbitor
    Honey I Shrunk the Audience
    Peter Pan's Flight
    Storybook Land Canal Boats
    Disneyland Railroad (Tomorrowland-Main Street)

plus we did Chip and Dale's Treehouse, Disneyland the first 50 magical years, the monorail, watched Fantasmic! and most of the fireworks and rode the submarine voyage, none of which were included as part of the original challenge.

We decided to leave with two hours left of the park being open, so we easily could have completed several more of those. The others could have been done earlier in the day as well, but we decided we would rather enjoy sit down meals and enjoy hanging out with one another.

A great day, with a great group of friends.

It's the Drunken Mice Chat Alliance. It's one of the MiceChat Gold Clubs. We're actually not a bunch of drunks, that's just the name of how our group started.

It was an amazing experience. Great group of people and a great day!
Honestly, I rode more rides in that one day than I did in my last 4 trips combined.

Special thanks to sunnygirl for having such a wonderful idea!

And I've got pictures to add soon!!

We so need to do this again when I'm in town. One of these days!

Looks like such a blast, I'm glad you all had fun. And you ladies managed to stay smoking hot out there in the heat all day? Impressive!

Really I have to say this was so much fun. We didn't have any competition, fancy prizes, or cool dessert at the end (unless you count my frosty Lost Bar drink!) but it was just great. We had a fun bunch of people, we hit rides I haven't been on in like forever, and had an all around blast.

I would do it again in a heartbeat.
