I am so sorry for your loss. Thanks so much for posting this most moving thread, it moved me to tears as I followed along.
Thank you for making me truly appreciate what I have in life.

Awesome and wonderful memories.... no one will ever be able to take those away from you. Yours was a special relationship, and each time you look at these things it can bring back all the warm wonderful times the two of you shared together!! Thank you sooo much for sharing the memories with those of us who never got a chance to meet that incredibly special person, your wife.![]()
Thanks for sharing this with all of us, just reading about what a fantastic anniversary you had and how it all worked out ... brought tears to my eyes.
Thank you so much for sharing that with us. It really shows how Disneyland is unlike any theme park in the world.
This was the most beautiful report I've ever read....
Thank you for sharing such wonderful memories with all of us. Your story is so moving and really made me tear up.

that was beautiful
Thank you for sharing some of your beautiful memories.
LDF, thanks for your story with us. It was incredibly moving to read. And seeing all the older pictures and memorabilia was amazing. Thank you for this wonderful post!
What a great thread! I loved reading it and looking at all of your pictures! Thank you so much for sharing! It's very obvious why your wife said yes when you asked her to marry you!![]()
Thanks for your encouraging words everyone.I was doing ok today until I started scanning in more shots of my wife for my daughter as she is putting a mommy and me scrapbook together. While I was scanning I made the mistake of listening to a couple cuts from Thomas Newman on itunes. (Note to self: Stay away from "The Letter that Never Came" from the Lemony Snicket soundtrack.)
I also wanted to thank each and every one of you who take the time to put a trip report together. I THRIVE on shots of you with your friends and family having a great time. If I can shake off this cold I'll be back tomorrow with my kids as the DLR has been our laughing place for the past several years...but especially the past few months in particular.
As soon as I read Suzie's comment, I thought "Boy...I hope Froggy doesn't see this." Evolution of my family. If that doesn't have a double meaning for Froggy, I don't know what does....
Thanks Froggy. One of the reasons I enjoy your reports is that you are obviously having such a great time with your wife and son. Every time I see the Tadpole it makes me smile. And I THOUGHT I had tossed this stuff as I hadn't seen it since I moved into our new home several years ago. I guess it helps to clean out the garage every once in a while.
Thanks Pengy. I'm sorry you never had the chance to meet her as she was an incredible lady. And yes, the Penguin shot was with my daughter when she was not quite a year old. I have vivid memories of a group of musicians in Frontierland, it could have been the Billies, seranading my daughter in that yellow rain poncho. I hope you get your shot with the elusive Penguins some time soon.
And thanks again everyone for the pms and encouragement. I just finished reading a book by Billy Crystal called "700 Sundays." In it he describes how the scene in City Slickers where he talks about his best day and worst day was actually true. And then I read "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" and I was a total wreck after I got to person #4. There's something healing, or theraputic for me in reading other people's stories. I'm looking forward to reading many more of yours in the months and hopefully years ahead.![]()

Great trip report. I was there that summer in '95. I didn't know that would be my last ride on the PeopleMover. Your wife looked like a great woman. I hope you feel like she's right there with you even today, especially when you're in Disneyland or the Disneyland Hotel.
What a wonderful trip report. I was smiling at the skyway, and thinking how lovely your wife looked, then I got to the end.
I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that sharing such special memories helps you a little.
