I realize that gambling, like any vice, requires responsibility on the part of the individual or it will completely consume you. I have WATCHED people gamble away everything. Is that what you really want, a kid to come to the gates of Disneyland and then SOMEONE blows all the money and all they have is a Mickey hat and a hotel room? Sorry, I know some people are responsible but having worked with the public I need to go with the LCD because it WILL happen.

Um, what is the point of this thread? As has been pointed out, there's no possible way this can happen. Gambling is illegal in CA unless it's on tribal land, and there's no tribal land anywhere NEAR the Disneyland Resort. It's a totally moot question. I mean, you might as well ask if they should build a place for the Disney Magic to dock at the DLR.
Disney doesn't even have casinos on their cruise ships where it is legal. So, no this obviously isn't going to happen.
Nothing's impossible.
Disney already has a form of gambling inside D.C.A. in that guests can pay to play games of skill for the chance of winning non-monetary prizes.

They can only build it where the Indian Village used to be.
So does Knott's and other amusement parks as well as your local, county, and state fairs... hardly consider that gambling but it depends on your definition. Churchs also have bingo halls (non profit rules, don't know specifics) but I don't really don't want to compete for parking with a Grandma who just lost the pot by 1 number....
