Re: How do you handle line-jumpers (personally)

I tell my family to get in the back of the line like they deserve! Actually, it doesn't bother me much but I never had more than 10 jumpers at a time.

Now, I'll turn that little mouse's dream into a nightmare Fantasmic!

    PUBLIC HUMILIATION!!!

    It works wonders.

I call them out. And loudly at that.

Something to the effect of "what makes you think that you are better than the rest of us that are standing here in line???". "Didn't your mamma teach you better???".

Or whatever might cross my mind at the moment.

Haven't had one stay in the line yet.

    Works for me!

Luckily, I have no shame and probably laugh a bit and still cut in line. I don't think there is any vigilante line cutting techniques that would work for me. Sorry folks but I don't do this often just when I need to.

I mutter something like "aw my legs..." and then do a full lunge and they can't get by. It's kinda' a jerk move but...

I use fastpasses, and don't have to stand in line.

Usually I'll handle it... if they become really confrontational then I'll snag a CM to ensure he/she gets booted from the line. I'll say things all the way up and usually try to get them pulled along the way but esp if they make it to the front. NOTHING makes me happier then to see them waste their time in a line and then get tossed without riding! Sorry I'm mean that way.

Re: How do you handle line-jumpers (personally)

On our last trip we had two instances. The first was two teen boys that walked in the opening for the exit of the TL side of the Matterhorn cutting of anyone behind them. I told them "hey guys the line starts way back there" and they did the "oh it does" and sheepishly left. No issue.

The second was in line at HM. I had myself, both my kids, my son's best friend and my little brother. We always hang back after coming out of the elevator because of the rush. As always in HM, it was push and shove especially when the second elevator let out. We stayed as a group as well as we could but one grown woman kept nudging my 12 year old son out of the way. Finally when the hallway narrows towards the end I put him to the side of my and stood in his spot so she would stop nudging him.
Her friend said, extremely loudly, "make sure you don't cut son JUST LIKE THESE PEOPLE".
Normally, I wouldn't say anything but I turned around and told her "we've been here the entire time, we did not cut, your group was repeatedly nudging my son out of the way and we're trying to stay together"
Her response was "well then you should keep your group together"
I responded "I am trying to, yet you kept nudging him out of the way"
She said "WHAT I didn't nudge him what are you talking about"
and she continued the rest of the time we were loading and apparently it's all she talked about on the whole ride, they were seated in the doom buggy right behind my son and his friend and they were so loud they could hear them the entire time.

Re: How do you handle line-jumpers (personally)

We have seen line jumpers several times, not just at DL but at other parks as well. If it is someone right in front of us, we will say that the line is back there and that we have all been waiting and they can too. Most of the time we just say nasty things loudly like, OH look at the person taking cuts. I have also seen people tell others that they can be removed from the park for line jumping. Kids these days dont seem to care. We always tell the our kids, see how they are acting? I dont EVER want to see you do that.

I'm way too laid back to even care. It's my time at the park and I'm not going to let impatient people get in the way of my good time.

Re: How do you handle line-jumpers (personally)

I complain that the morals of our society have taken a dreadful turn and it shows in the actions of people that cut in line. The line cutter in question never hears this since I am very quietly complaining to my friends. My friends in turn voice a little louder how rude said line cutter is and then take out their pitch forks and start the riot!

Really...? I don't care. I'm just there for a good time. Although I really do hate it when people trying to rejoin their parties push through without a pardon me or might I get by. Just rude to push others around.
