Monster's Inc. to be Interactive?!!!!

Thought I would pass this along from the mouseinfo.com boards. God i hope they do this.


Just got back from the Resort today, and they were testing some sort of new interactive technology which Resort officials are considering placing into the Monster's Inc ride. Basically, there's a small opening, kinda like a box inside the wall covering the ride. Inside is Roz's head, which speaks and interacts with you. It's kinda similar to what Crush does at Turtle Talk, but the cast member there said that the new technology they were thinking of placing inside the Monsters Inc. ride would be better than the one currently used for Crush. He said the higher-ups were testing it to see if the park guests would like the idea of interacting with the Monster's Inc characters on the ride. And if the response was positive then they were going to install it inside the Monster's Inc. ride. I told the cast member that I loved the idea and that they had better put it into the ride, otherwise they would just end up putting it inside some new ride at Disneyworld and I'm really tired of seeing Disneyworld get all the new techology first. The cast member just laughed and said he agreed.

What do you guys think? And if you agree with me and like the idea, get you butts over to DCA and let them know how you feel. If the response is overwhelming, then we could end up getting a ride which trumps anything that they have going on over at the other parks

I'm not quite sure I understand? Exactly how would she be interacting with you? I mean, I know she'll be talking with you but how? and about what? How will that work when the ride's in constant motion?

I have a feeling that whether interactive or not, Monsters Inc won't be a blockbuster attraction, but instead just a cheap capacity-increasing darkride.

It's an interesting idea however, i still don't understand how Monsters fits in the theming of DCA...but then again I don't know how much of DCA's theming fits into the California theme...

So wait while riding in the ride you can just start to talk to the ride and it responds

sort of, it would probably be like the whole crush turtle talk thing, but maybe they would replace the tv's with this interaction thing. The monster would talk to you, and you could talk to it!

^ ok so while the car is moving you can talk to the monsters or are you going to walk through the attraction?

So what is the story line of the ride going to be...talk with your friends from Monsters Inc. while riding in a car!

Maybe she'll ride in the car with you during the ride and say things like, "Hey, slow down. Turn right here. I think you missed the turn. Look out for that other car. Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh!"

Is it that wooden box door? I tried opening it on the 1st and it didn't do anything. Was kinda bummed. But I guess now I know why. No CM there.

Im guessing it will be like they something like "ahhh, theres even more humans right there" and then they say something more personal like "u in the green shirt" or something.
