A Walk in Walts Footsteps Tour Photos/Report

    I put them up here:

    http://www.mousesteps.com/index.php?...d=45&Itemid=74

We were able to ride the Lilly Belle, which wasn't normally part of the tour. Mostly I took the tour to see the lobby of Club 33, that is as close as I'm likely getting to eating there - so it was a pretty big deal for me!

I also stuck up some photos under the same Disneyland topic from the 17th ceremonies at Town Square. Nothing too exciting, I wasn't terribly well situated for the re-dedication ceremony. I'm still working on my Universal tour photos - the VIP tour was amazing, I HIGHLY recommend that. I wasn't so impressed with the park, that was my first time to Universal Hollywood. But the tour was terrific.

Thanks! I really had some very nice experiences - unique ones, during this and the Universal tour. Club 33 lobby, Lilly Belle, Ophelia at the Tiki Room, and at Uni - walking around the Bates Motel, as well as where a scene from POTC was filmed, the prop rooms, etc. Really a good few days. Oh - my first Mint Julep and ratatouille too (at Cafe Orleans).

We did the tour in January, we didn't get to ride in the Lilly Belle...

But we did enjoy the tour, and while we ate our lunch in the Gallery Courtyard, a couple of Pirates came by, lots of fun!

I wish we'd eaten in the Gallery Courtyard! I did take photos and put them on my site of the Disney Gallery, I can't believe it's shutting down. The pirates do sound like fun!

Too bad they dont take you up to Walts apt for a tour, man I would sign up for that in a second. Great pics.

That would be great - but she said that they used to have occasionally people up there (not sure when), but probably a long time ago. I think they'd rather just maintain it now.

Wow, how cool that you got to take the tour on DL's 52nd birthday.

BPF and I took the tour a few days before you and felt the same about the experiences. It really was unique and fun. Also, our tour guide was having such a good time with us, that she stayed with us for much longer than she should have, only leaving because she had to clock out and go home! The tour wound up being 4 hours long! All in all, a great tour though.

Our tour guide spent extra time with us, at least a half hour (there were 3 of us left by about 1/2 hour after the tour ended). I actually learned more about the park in that time that I didn't know!

The tour guide shifts are about to get longer. Right now they are shorter days, but I think they are going to go to a full 8 hours (so the tour guides will be doing other things also besides leading tours too). I really think that a tour guide can make or break a tour, it sounds like there are a number of good ones at DL!

Re: A Walk in Walts Footsteps Tour Photos

I just thought of something mentioned on the tour - and I found out a little info elsewhere too. The holiday tour - dates, price, would it be worth doing? I would love to get back in December this year (I am not sure yet we can, but we'll see!) and how far in advance would I need to book this?

Also, I found out the CP was only 2 days!!!!!! That is amazing, we have it for 6 or so weeks. But I REALLY want to do the Haunted Mansion Holiday again, it's been 5 years.

    Thanks.

Holiday Tour is a BLAST! Only go if you're prepared to have a LOT of fun and act silly, because you will be asked to sing carols, skip, drink hot cocoa and generally be merry!
