No this was originally planned for the 1998 Refurb.

Is that any less weird sounding than singing hillbilly bears, a bunch of livestock singing old tunes (America Sings), etc.?

What I love about this idea is that it has so much theming and it's very original. I would totally support this as the next TL refurb (if there is one). As for the singing aliens, I wouldn't necessarily have them singing opera or anything like that, but it would be cool if they told the story of how they came to earth. It could be similar to the way the aliens tell the story of the universe in "Mission to Mars" (not a great film, but a cool ending).

It's just... not right. What do aliens sing? A bunch of random bleeps and boops? Or musical tones? It just doesn't seem right. Tomorrowland is about advancing man's achievements and moving forward; aliens just seem to sidetrack the theme.

I take it you've never heard of the Fabulous Sonny Eclipse! He's an Alien that performs daily in Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe at the Magic Kingdom.
He sings some of the best songs heard in a Disney park and I dare you to listen to "Bright Little Star" and not be moved by the lyrics. =)

Yup, singing aliens are retarded. Just as retarded as singing ghosts, singing geese, singing bears, singing dogs, singing rabbits, singing robots, and singing pirates.

In fact, singing anything in entertainment is retarded. Musicals are awful. The Sound of Music is bad. West Side Story is retarded. Wicked sucks. Chicago is stupid. Animated Disney films are retarded - who wants to see those singing lions in the Lion King? And that silly singing mermaid is just awful. And what about that stupid singing wooden puppet?

Yeah, singing anything is just retarded.

Oh, that's right. They sing songs.

    Making sense is just so...retarded.

(BOLD mine) With the direction TL has taken in recent months and years, I would welcome a 'sidetrack'. Alien encounters (while admittedly mixing in a liberal amount of the Science Fiction element to the theme) seem far more appropriate than 'talking' clownfish.

Well actually they don't talk from the start. They can only talk with the help of the Sonar Hydrophones.

No but they do have those huge slides with the hundreds of rollers that hurt your butt! I'd choose that over a boat ride any day!

Whether you sit stationary in the theater, or move through it in a ride vehicle, you're still in a theater.

I frankly don't see the difference this makes; but if you wanna trade 'actually's, the fish do not actually need the hydrophones to be able to speak, just to be understood by Humans (which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever in any case).

That's still different than what they've got at Chuck E. Cheese, semantical games aside.
