Peoplemover1 and I have noticed the missing wraiths for several months. Peoplemover1 says they've been gone since a little after Mansion re-opened after the Holiday overlay this year... but I don't think its been quite that long... but I'm not sure.

Strange. I hope it doesn't mean anything; I love those guys.

    It has been.

If it was a broken bulb, it wouldn't take that long for it to be fixed.

Something I noticed in my picture, never saw it before:

Just a small detail but look at the champagne glasses, one is ok, the other one broken. Coincidence? Just one of those details...

I wasn't looking for the wraiths, but I didn't notice them a couple of weeks ago. That's really too bad--they add a nice stormy touch to the mansion, and the effect is actually more frightening than its counterpart in the movie.

If it really is broken rather than just tipped over, that is something new. A broken-stemmed glass would be a closer match to the porcelain figurines next to the Frank portrait. Check it out on...The Thread:

    Long-forgotten Haunted Mansion Effect?

Hmm, maybe it was broken on accident? It looks broken. I'll look again in a couple of days.

It was no accident. That was the groom's glass. There is another where the groom's statue is on its side. Delightful, subtle design. Brilliant!

Oh, and with regard to my earlier comment about whether or not the spilled coffin was always there in the DL ballroom:

Scratch that: I'm positive it's always been there. Here's a Panavue slide. These pix date from around the time the HM opened in 1969:

I never noticed, in all my number of times on the Mansion that those were doors, I always thought the hearse crashed through the wall.

It very well may have crashed through the doors, though. It doesn't look like its arrival was particularly quiet.

Thanks! I was never doubting you, I was just wanted to make sure that we weren't overlooking something. I knew you'd have evidence!

Oh, I understood what you were saying. All I meant to point out was that your previous misconception about the hearse crashing through the wall could still be a little bit correct...at least about the crashing part.

And what's funny is I didn't even realize the hearse thing was there.
