    Weapons in the park?

So had this thought after seeing the kid who thinks he's Indy walking around... he has a whip. I know they sell them in the park, but that's a weapon. I doubt anyone would ever use it for it's true purpose... but they let him into the park with it and take about people's Swiss army knives.

Anyone else think this is bizarre?

    No surprise here.

He probably just put it under his coat and walked right by those waste-of-a-time security checkpoints...

They also have stainless steel butter and even steak knives in the restaurants, but you can't take in a pocketknife (well, at least that isn't hidden in your pocket).

    They take Swiss army knives?

I've worn a Leatherman on my belt every day for at least 10 years, and probably made 50 trips to the Anaheim parks in that time. No one's ever blinked at it.

They haven't had much of a problem with the criminal element causing harm with Indiana Jones whips, and it remains pretty darn unforeseeable that such a thing would happen, so no, it doesn't surprise me that they haven't confiscated whips.

Yep, agreed. "Security" checkpoints are definately a waste of time. But that's a subject for another thread......
