Thinking about an AP! WOO HOO!

I'm really thinking about getting a Deluxe annual pass.
The thing I don't want to do is end up waisting my money, cause I live in Nor Cal currently I go to Disneyland and DCA yes I do actually enjoy DCA! For a couple hours but then I have to go to my favorite place DISNEYLAND!! Anyways I go about 3-4 times a year and if I got an annual pass then I would probably go for alot of real quick trips. I was just wondering if anyone thinks I should get it or not?
Also if you can tell me the rewards of me buying one also! Such as: what food discounts hotel discounts ETC... I know I already asked about hotel discounts in a different thread.

Aren't we supposed to discourage people from buying an annual pass because they crowd the park but secretly we all have one and use it frequently?

Thumbs up Re: Thinking about an AP! WOO HOO!

I live in NorCal as well and worked it out to if I am going to go more than 7 days in a year (which I do), then an Annual Pass makes sense financially. Plus, there are the discounts, etc that make it even more worth it.

I have a Premium Annual Pass for the free parking and I also don't like to have any blockout dates (I want to go when I want to go and not worry about it). So, if you are planning on going for more than 7 days, you should get one!

You will find yourself making quick trips on your days off and stuff, I know I sure did!

we live in Reno and make about 4-5 3-4day weekend trips a year plus a longer trip every october (this year will be 11 days).

we've always had deluxe passes in the past, but this year we're upgrading to Premiums since we've had to buy blackout passes a couple of times. its well worth the investment imho

Re: Thinking about an AP! WOO HOO!

    Do it!

AP's are the best value out there.

We're in NorCal, and have had AP's since the late 80's.

Even at today's prices, they are a bargain when compared to paying for multi-day passes. Don't waste more than 30 seconds doing the math.

We (kind of) "beat the system" by me having a PAP, while the rest of the family has the DAP's. We never go on a blockout day anyway, so that doesn't matter, but we still get all of the perks that a PAP offers. Plus, I occassionally travel down to the Anaheim area on business, so I take my AP with me. I never know when I might get the urge to visit the Park after "work".

    Works for us!

BTW- There probably will be (another) price increase after Labor Day for the AP's, so you might as well start your savings and benefits right away by getting one on your next trip.

I live in Norcal myself and just got one. We are planning on going at least 3 times this year, so turned out to be cheaper to get an AP.

Re: Thinking about an AP! WOO HOO!

One time I left my house, parked in the parking structure, took the tram, made it through bag check, made it through the main entrance, and was sitting inside the Golden Horseshoe within 17 minutes.

Of course being an APer, I pushed everyone out of the way and yelled at anyone who slowed me down.

Yo ho yo ho an AP life for me.

Re: Thinking about an AP! WOO HOO!

We are N. Cal also. We usually come down for a week in the summer, 10-12 days at Christmas, and a long weekend at Spring Break (and this year for the Halloween Treat.) We end up with PAPs by Christmas, but start with Deluxes (one PAP for extra discounts). If you make more than one 3 day trip a year, it is worth it.
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

Go for it! I don't live in Nor Cal, so I can't relate to your situation.

So.. all I'm gonna say is go for it! Cuz it's cool!

    Yup, do it.

We live in NorCal and have Deluxe AP's, we go to DL about once a month and it's totally worth it.

Wait wait, I mean.... no don't get one its a terrible idea, lousy APers, crowding the parks, acting like they're entitled to everything....

    Do whatever you want.
Don't forget to check out the Carpooling Forum that still doesn't exist on its own and you have to check the Meets Forum or something similarly ridiculous.
