Fantasyland Updates?

Just a question about FL, it has not recieved ANYTHING new in the last, oh, 10 years, so why is no one griping about FL being ignored, while everyone is up in arms about TL? Not that TL doesn't need anything, just curious why no one's saying the same thing about FL because in my view, that's more neglected than TL. Greatly appreciated.

Because, when Walt Disney Productions rebooted Fantasyland in 1982, they spent the money and did it right - - the only mistake made was accidentally destroying the Pirate Ship and Skull Rock and failing to rebuild them (which we are still whining about). Otherwise the entire project was a civic improvement across the board. It's still satisfying.

On the other hand, when Eisner's Walt Disney Company redid Tomorrowland in 1998, they totally blew it, undercut the budget, closed classic attractions, picked ugly designs, colorsm themes and ideas and completely ******-up the land. We've been wanting it fixed ever since. We lost far more than we gained (in fact, the only positive thing we gained was the return of the Moonliner).

Big difference. It's not "something new" that matters, but money well-spent.


Of course, since 1984 there have mistakes made in Fantasyland that need correcting too:

FL:

Videopolis/Fantasyland Theatre: Cheap facility, never fit visually. Should be replaced.

Closure of Sleeping Beauty Castle Diorama. Needs to be restored to original glory.

Skyway closure. Get it back running.

Villain Shop. Bring it back.

Return of Pirate Ship and Skull Rock. Please...

Cheesy square display window for colored crystals in castle entry. Needs to go badly.

And FL is supposedly getting the Sleeping Beauty Walkthrough back. So I guess that would be a type of an update.

I can see how FL can get confusing. FL= FantasyLand and also FL=Florida. The first time I read this I thought "Why is someone asking about DisneyWorld's Fantasyland in the Disneyland forum"?

Please call Fantasyland "FanLan" instead of FL since it gets confusing with Florida's name. FanLan is like one of those ridiculous names the media gives to celebrity couples now, but it's not as annoying.

Just so you all know, I have heard rumors that they may be changing Aladdin's Oasis in AL.

Just to make absolutely certain, I am talking about Adventureland, and not Alabama.
