| Semper Absurda MiceChat News Team MiceChat Moderator   | Sleeping Beauty vs. Cinderella Castle We were having a "Discussion" in the WDW forums about what castle the "Disneyland" people who have been to WDW would prefer. So here is the question, which Castle do you like better? This isn't equated to what park, or resort, or ride, or anything like that. It's about the CASTLE and ONLY the Castle. I marked this thread as "Fun" for a reason. This is a fun little poll. As for me, personally, I like Cinderella's castle better. Just as a point of reference: Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland  Cinderella's Castle at Magic Kingdom

On a funny, slightly off-topic, note: While waiting for the fireworks on Monday night at DL, this lady was talking to her 2 young girls behind us, she was saying "Do you know who lives in that castle girls, which Princess?" and the girls say "Cinderella" "Sleeping Beauty" "Snow White" and the mom says "Thats right Snow White lives there... I think" it was pretty funny, my dad and I looked at each other and started silently busting up

| Re: Sleeping Beauty vs. Cinderella Castle Having seen both in person I'd have to say Sleeping Beauty Castle is my favorite. Short story - I grew up on the east coast and had only been to WDW. When I moved to the west coast and went to DL for the first time I had no idea how much smaller the castle was. My husband still jokes at me for saying this on Main Street, "Is that the pre-castle? Where's the rest?"

| Re: Sleeping Beauty vs. Cinderella Castle why do I like Sleeping Beauty.... The colors are wonderful, also (if not mistaken) with Cinderella, you have to walk around to get to the moat (unlike Sleeping), so it looks more like a castle because you can see the moat as soon as you walk up to it.

It was this veneer of reality that made the fantasy better--and more believable. There is nothing realistic about Cinderella Castle.

| Re: Sleeping Beauty vs. Cinderella Castle Just with these two, I am going to pick DL's because I do think it is more significant as being the first. And I do think it's beautiful. You can tell it comes from a simpler time. Cinderella Castle though is amazingly beautiful. |

| Re: Sleeping Beauty vs. Cinderella Castle I have to go with Sleeping Beauty because its less poky. The spires of Cinderlla just seem more sharp, and the color isn't as friendly. Sleeping Beauty reminds me gives off a friendlier vibe.

| Re: Sleeping Beauty vs. Cinderella Castle I think Cinderella Castle is the most impressive design of the two, however, Sleeping Beauty Castle looks cuter, and more like a classic fairy tale castle. So I think Sleeping Beauty looks best in the park, but Cinderella would look prettiest if it was just the castle by itself. If that makes sense.
