Good Day MCer's!
I finally got all moved into my new place and rewarded myself and my son to an afternoon trip to Disneyland. I had yet to see Pirates Lair and so did my boy.
Just thought I would share my day in photos and short video clips. Enjoy!
Lovely Halloween decor is up in the shops
First stop Pirates Lair
My son got a little scared in the caves but that was only because some teens were running through the caves and screaming and being loud and it scared him a bit. I had to go through there quickly. But I like the new look.
You have to work this pump (as instructed in the sign above) and the gold appears. The kid loved it.
On the way out we caught the Pirate Show up close. The kid loved it, as did I.
I like how they recycle CM's. This guy was also in the Jedi Academy
She started throwing fish at him...it was funny.
And some video Clips of the show. It was very entertaining and the kids loved it.
Then it was time to eat. We stopped at the Golden Horseshoe for lunch and the Billy's.
Then through Fantasyland for a different Casey Jr. ride. I had never ridden in the back but it was a cool ride.
Then it was Haunted Mansion and the Disney Gallery. On the way out of the Disney Gallery they were testing the Fantasmic fountains.
On the way out of Disneyland we caught the Ratatouille float before The Parade of Dreams.
Some random Parade of Dreams shots...
Ha...this photo made me laugh..I caught Bert in a kick..it looks funny!
Then it was DCA for Monsters Inc. and to measure the boy against the Tower height bar. He has about half a foot left....maybe less!
Then it was back to Disneyland for dinner at Hungry Bear and to stake our spots to see the Fantasmic! Mark Twain go by with all the characters. I brought my "we *heart* the Mark Twain Characters sign and it got alot of response from all the characters. Eric yelled that he loved me back and Ariel was all jealous. Then the Chiminey Sweepers at the top of the boat said they loved us back...it was great! I'm going to do that every time I go to the park late!
Then it was time for home... The only disheartening experience I had that day was a run in with a teen. I was in line to see my photo for Buzz when the two girls in front of me suddenly were joined by 5+ other family members and they were standing there going through all 5+ of their pictures....technically, they cut. So I tell them...that there is a line (others were behind me waiting to) and the teen turned to me and asked me "what the F--- is the problem"...with her father standing right there. He looked visibly embarrassed.... Greeeaattt....I just shook my head and let the madness continue. I don't know how the father could stand hearing his teen daughter talk like that...I know I would have had my face slapped if I EVER talked that way in front of my father...ah well...
But after I shook that off it was a good day. I just like to keep to myself now when I'm there....
I hope you enjoyed the photos and pics.
