Maybe that's why they finally removed it - it was a UBT .... Unidentified Ball Thingy .... that had no point ever being on the ride.

Not so muched "removed" as "turned off". There's definitely a suspicious, dark, hulking mass in the center of the ride, presumably waiting for the launch of Rockit Mountain...at which point I suspect it will start shooting lase beams at the finger tips of anyone who dares raise their hands on the ride.

Somehow I always thought it was supposed to be a dark sun or planet or something.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

I think it was removed because it provided a point of reference for riders. Now it's preactically impossible to keep track of where you are in the actual building because everything is pitch black. (except for all the stars of course)

Nope, it has been removed. There's a large asteroid thing where the ball used to be. And the lights on the asteroid are "turned off".... at least they were on Sunday.

Well yes, I didn't mean to imply that it's the exact same thing, just with the light bulb off. I just meant to point out that there isn't an empty space, there is, in fact, something of roughly the same size and shape in its place.

Yeah, when we went on Sunday my friend has this high intensity beam on his cell phone that he shined into that space..... it's a big squishy asteroid hehe ... I assume it will be lit up for Rockit mountain!

I pulled that off of visionsfantastic. Just for reference, for those who can't remember what it looked like. A big orange soccer ball.
