Re: Disneyland Characters In The Park

If the performers wearing the heads have anything to say about it (which they don't), the heads would go away. They make performing difficult. I think they make Mickey and Minnie look like elderly mice with no teeth while their mouths are closed. They're not right.

Re: Disneyland Characters In The Park

It's not as bad as I thought but I sort of liked it. If you don't think about it while you watch it it helps.
I do think it's a way of being able to use the characters in more stage shows with more dialogue. I like the blinking, it helps in my opinion!
Actually, the more I think about it I like it more.

I think they look great! In fact, if you think about it, the next time you see a Meet & Greet character, you are going to be creeped out by it because of the lack of blinking.

The blank stares we have now are far creepier than the dynamic faces of the new heads.

I think it looks awesome! Adds so much more, it looked like they were actually talking which is cool! I'm sure technology will continue to advance on this, making the heads lighters and more comfortable to wear, I think it adds a lot in a positive way...

Do they NEED to do that???? I've never seen any little kid complain that Mickey and crew weren't real. Heck, I've never seen any adults complain either....and if they did, they're in the wrong park. I think it would be weird and maybe creep the little kids out...

Thanks for the You Tube video! It's not as scary as my imagination thought it would be, but does EVERYTHING have to be hi-tech? I agree that it's not really neccessary. I could see it frightening small children in a meet-and-greet situation.

Re: Disneyland Characters In The Park

I just saw the YouTube video and thought it was cute!

My opinion is the effect is not so creepy when your on stage, but I think it would totally creep me out if he were just meandering around the park for pictures.

Imagine how many more traumatized children we would have in this world??
