    Adventures Club at DL

All of this reminessing of jungle cruise past got me thinking what if they bring the Adventures Club to Disneyland? They can take out aladdins oasis, modifi it a bit so it is enclosed, a/c the place. Also they can sell snacks there and hear tales from adventurers.

    Thoughts?????

I love the Adventurer's club at WDW! I think that the Oasis area could be modified to do duel purposes. During the day have a storytime area. At night, have a party at the Adventures club.

But I really would like it in Downtown Disney. It would be more accessable to people who want to go there at night. Also alcohol could be served there. It would make Downtown Disney more than just a shopping mall.

I really like this idea too. It would make Downtown Disney more of a destination instead of the place between the hotels and the parks.
Check out my new Disney Blog here. What it lacks in quality it makes up with... Well, nothing I guess.

    Dare I say

If Maynard were to sign on to it he would have a place to play with very little rules.

Ah, to enjoy a congaloosh while sitting under the Yakoose (watch out for the drool) without flying across country.

I think they'd have to play with the size some, as crowds would be larger, but it'd be a great idea, and it would probably be much easier to find your car while half blind from drink than it ever was at WDW.

Okay, I feel fairly stupid here, I have never heard of the Adventures Club. I am gathering it is in WDW, where???
If it is not located inside a Park in FL, then it for sure belongs in DTD in CA

    Re: Adventures Club at DL

It's at Pleasure Island at WDW ~ There are several different
rooms to check out, with different short shows happening at
various times in the various rooms. There are also a "cast" of
"Adventure's Club" members that interact with guests, and some
of these characters are rather eccentric, which adds to the fun.

In addition, the rooms have various artifacts "collected" from
various adventure from around the world. Some of the artifacts
have mysterious abilities, including puppets that talk to you.
There are also bar in nearly every room.

Some have described it as an interactive Tiki room. I think it
must have been a place that "Shrunken Ned", the jungle's only
witch doctor, must have been a member, back in the days when
he was able to get around easier. Adventurers Club is for those
who enjoy meeting strangers, the stranger the better It's
    strangely excentric, exotic, and addicting.

here's a link that gives more details

Wiki also has more info on the club

More info (can never have enough)

And here's another site that you can even explore!

Just to be picky, it's the Adventurers Club, as in the club for adventurers.

    Re: Adventures Club at DL

I think that the Adventurer's club could be a truly spectacular addition to DTD. In LA, there are many aspiring actors and comedians. For those who enjoy improvisation, it would became a Mecca. I love WDW's Adventurer's club, but an addition at the Downtown Disney in Anaheim could be a really amazing place, just as the comedy club in LA is the place to get one's start in show biz.

If you were truly being picky then it would be:
    The Adventures' Club
Apostrophe used for the plural possessive. But obviously my pedantry is more powerful than yours, young apprentice.

I think that the DL crowds would be too much for an Adventures' Club inside the Park. It would be hard to get the right atmosphere and interaction while trying to scale it up for today's crowd sizes.

Having said that, if it could be done, it would make a great accompaniment to the Tiki Room. Somehow work the Tiki Room and the former Tahitian Terrace areas in to a harmonious set of attractions. Even make part of the Adventurer's Club part of the queue for the Tiki Room, or somewhere for 'ticketed' Tiki Guests to wait for their show time.

An adult version in DtD would also be fab! "Adventurer's Club: After dark!"
    Disney FAQ#275: What is DCA?
DCA stands for Disney Construction Area. All the Cast Members are themed with hard hats and steel toed boots.

    Ooh DTD, please!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
