    Bartering my Disney knowledge.

Here is a conversation I had with my Dentist today:
Dentist: So how was your summer?
Me: It was good; we just got back from Disneyland. Of course it was packed, being summer and all.
D: Thatís why I donít go to Disneyland; I hate the lines and crowds. My kids have never been.
Me: Your kids have never been to Disneyland? You realize that borders on child abuse.
D: I know but I just canít bring myself to plan a trip and deal with all the crowds. Just doesnít sound like a fun vacation to me.
Me: You have to know the right time of the year to go. You have to know how to work the system by using Fastpasses and Early Entry.
D: Whatís Fastpass? Does that cost extra?
Me: No, itís included with your Parkhopper.
    D: Whatís a Parkhopper?
Me: You need to hire me to plan a Disney trip for you. Your poor kidsÖ.I canít even imagineÖ
D: That sounds like a good idea, what do you want in return for helping us plan a trip?
Me: How about one of those fancy water pick things you are trying to get me to buy?
D: Itís a deal. Iíll call you soon to arrange a planning meeting.
He liked my suggestion of going the week after Thanksgiving and pulling his kids out of school for a few days, which is when DH and I are going for our holiday trip. So we may be vacationing with my Dentist.

And yes, I did go home with the water pick.

Have you ever bartered your Disney knowledge?

Woohoo, way to work it Earkid!

The good part about going on a vacation with your dentist is you can eat any kind chewy, carmely, sticky treat and you won't have to worry about pulling out a filling...your dentist will be there to fix it for you

How awesome! i'm gonna have to start mentioning Disney in more places
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I also love the week after Thanksgiving. We've done that twice now and it's been perfect!!

Way to get that water pic!!

I got a bottle of wine helping a friend plan her family's trip this fall for her husband's 40th bday. That was fun! She bought a Birnbaums (sp.) guidevand I was What?? You have ME. Hello! They've never taken their kids and were really nervous about it. It was fun giving a newbie tips.

Hahah! That was great! It almost sounded as if Disney were paying you to advertise for them..

    Congrats on the water pick!

Hmm.. I wonder if I can get a free Coach purse or Burberry purse from such bartering...

Exactly! And the problem with Birnbaum's is that the minute it is printed the info is already out of date.

It's fun preaching my Disney religion.

I think she is planning the trip for him, not going along as a Tour Guide.....she'd get more than a WaterPik then. But nice idea, will have to suggest it to my Dentist!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

Actually, I mentioned that we like to go the week after Thanksgiving and he said that sounded good. So we will probably be there at the same time. But no one wants a know-it-all Disney geek following them around their entire vacation.

A client of mine brought back a pin from Disney world for giving him a ton of info about the parks there.
