Defacing HM's Attic Portraits

Last week -- specifically Wednesday and Friday night -- the portraits in the attic of the Haunted Mansion with Constance and her headless husbands almost all had something that resembled spitballs on them. Both nights the same thing happened. If I am not mistaken, I believe she actually had one or two on her dress as well.

It's hard to imagine that there are two different morons with the same stupid idea to come to the park in such a short period of time.

Anyhow, has anyone else ever seen this and is it still happening?

And secondly, WHY would someone want to do this?? I don't quite understand the mentality or the point of it.

Walt knew that if one guest created graffiti in the park, it would only encourage more.

Things used to be cleaned up much quicker.

Now it seems like, when I come once a month to the park, I see that spitwad that I saw from 5 months ago. It's still there...am I really the only person to notice it?

I think it's disgusting that anyone would deface a DL ride in that way.

I've also seen that icky gum where the bobsleds first go into the Matterhorn cave. What the heck is wrong with people?!?

Oh man its like the gum tree situation at Great America....at the entrance for the rapids ride there was a tree that musta had at least 500 pieces of used gum on it.....once it was "full" people moved on to the tree on the other side of the pathway....it took them like 5 years to replant the trees..

i was scared to walk under the trees for fear of gum falling in my hair...

That's why it is so important for Disney to remove the gum or graffiti as soon as it is spotted. People are much less likely to vandalize something that is clean. Monkey see, monkey do.

I hope they caught the vandals and kicked them out of the park!

It does baffle me that people are giving this wonderful park and they destroy it. I know some don't care about it as much as we do, but common, there's a trash can every 5 feet. I don't understand why the cleaning crews aren't getting to these areas. I don't know if Disney has cut back on nightly cleanings or if they are told to not worry about such things.

I've just noticed that there's trash in rides more often and yes, the gum problem.
There's no excuse period to leave anything behind. Trash cans are all over the park.

Completely unacceptable. I'd hate to think how I'd react if I caught someone doing that. I'd give them an embarassment they'd remember for a lifetime that's for sure.
