Yuck! I'm so sorry that happened to you. I know if it were me, the smell would have tipped me off. I'm mildly emetophobic.

While I appreciate the CMs needing to keep everything moving, it's ridiculous that something like this could be overlooked.

This happened on screamin' also, but the people refused to get in. the CM's unloaded the train and backed it up to where they are stored. It was pretty gross. It would be way worse to sir in it. I think I would have added to the spill. *yuck*

My emetophobia is not mild! I would have smelled it a mile off and then added to the spill.

Wow, I did not know that people actually vomit on space. Wonder how many churros the sick guest had. That would make a bad trip for me too.

If I had sat in vomit, I would have automatically threw up right there, in the seat. Adding to it. And then I would have started crying.

And refused to get out until they paid attention to me... No one deserves to SIT in puke. That's seriously sick.

    I'm retching just imagining it!

(Haha, yeah, glad I read it though. I'm so checking before I sit. )

    Re: Gross Space Mountain Experience

So Boys & Girls, let's recap what we have learned about riding in a "Vomit Comet":
    - Space Mountain is a finicky ride
    - CMs have an insane workload to maintain
    - if the load / unload procedure is delayed for an 'unforseen problem'
(such as pulling a Cast Member aside to describe a loss of someone's stomach's contents)
the ride will 'Cascade' and cause a 45-minute "E-stop" / evacuation

So, as you end your 'ride experience' / re-enter the loading dock area (covered in someone else's bile and lunch), our best suggestion is for the Guest to bring the situation to the Cast Members' attention by screaming,
    ( ( ( ( ( ((( "I'M SITTING IN VOMMMIIIITTTT!!!))) ) ) ) ) )

The "Cascade" that will follow will be the torrents of Tossed Cookies coming over the railings of those waiting in the queue...

Sadly, I see an 'E-Stop' situation arising either way

    Oh, bella, poor Dad!

I sat in someone's nasty old wad of chewing gum once on Indy and I thought THAT was gross. The rest of the day I had that nastiness stuck to my pants. It was very unpleasant, but the barf beats that by a mile.

Hey. There was no blame on the poster. All the blame was solely on myself. Reread the post.

    Have a nice day!

    Re: Gross Space Mountain Experience

Eww that is nasty. I would be furious if I had to sit in that.

I simply cannot envision getting sick on a ride to start with, but also getting sick without feeling sick first. SM doesn't seem like it could do that all on its own.

I really can't imagine a barfer getting on SM without having a good idea that they aren't in the best condition to ride. But then again, people don't always make the best decisions.

The worst thing is that whoever puked should have notified someone at the end of the ride and most likely did not.
