Sir Francis Verney's Painting

I had a question about one of the pictures on the wall inside the building. Sir Francis Verney, the last one on the left hand side of the queue had what looked like gum all over his face in July. At least it looked like gum.
Then when I returned in August a month later it was all still there. I tryed to get a picture both times but they all came out blurry or just too dark.

Does anyone know if it is still there, or if it is infact gum?

Re: Sir Francis Verney's Painting

Ah. Can't say that I've ever noticed gum on him, or anywhere else on the ride. Oh well. Sorry I can't be more help.

Anyone else??

I didn't see gum last time I went in... uhh... April? May?

But that's the last time I went. So I don't know.

Re: Sir Francis Verney's Painting

As far as I know it showed up sometime after April and before mid July.

Mmm... Wait. I just tried imagining it right now... And I think there was something on his face.

Yeah. I'm almost certain I was staring at him in a desperate attempt to not... Yeah. There was something.

Yes. -nods-

Gotta love my problem-solving technique.

Oh my gosh.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I was so disgusted that I informed a CM.

I guess he didn't do anything about it...

If he won't then I will. Time to email again!

Re: Sir Francis Verney's Painting

I noticed that not only verney's picture was kinda faded, like it needed to be touched up. also ned lows picture seemed a little faded as well.

hmn. they spend all that time adding in segments from the movies but they dont have time to fix what is there????

Re: Sir Francis Verney's Painting

I went on the ride on Sunday and the painting didn't have any gum on it and looked just fine. I alook at it all the time as it's my favorite potc guy and I've never seen anything horribly wrong. Gum will happen but more often than not disney takes care of it.

Re: Sir Francis Verney's Painting

I wonder how they get the gum off without it taking the paint off with it.
Does anyone know?
