Everyone says money can't buy happiness but can money buy "The Happiest Place on Earth"? Celebrities get VIP treatment, a personal escort, early admission and no waiting in lines. My question is, if you're not famous can you purchase that sort of treatment and if you can what would it include and how much do you think it would cost?

Anybody can buy whatever they want. It's all for sale! I can't remember how much it is for an escort, but I recall being surprised that is was cheaper than I anticipated.

It would cost a lot, and I think the reason the celebs get all the VIP stuff too is that Disney doesn't want to cause a scene, and have people flocking to whatever ride the celeb was going to next. It's a safety issue.

That's Disneyland's official "contact us" page. There are many ways that you can contact them...my personal suggestion, if your question isn't one that needs an immediate answer but it's okay to find out in a few days, just email them on that page.

As someone else previously posted, the option is there mostly so someone who is well-known by the public can actually enjoy their day like a normal human being (or as normal as they can get) with some privacy, and Disney doesn't want a huge commotion in the first place and, as a celebrity company themselves, understands these needs.


...you might also be curious to know that, if you have the dough, you can actually rent out sections to the park all to yourself for a few hours or something. My father worked on a major t.v. series, and the leading lady treated to the cast, crew and their families a few hours at night to have complete domination of one of the lands in Disney's California Adventure

Disney's VIP Tour Services enables Guests to experience the Disneyland Resort in a new and carefree way. Imagine discovering all the magic and adventure awaiting Guests at both Disneyland Resort theme parks with a VIP Tour Guide as their personal ambassador. VIP Tour Guides will customize their visit by arranging special seating for parades and live stage shows and at the distinctive restaurants at the Resort. Professional and knowledgeable, VIP Tour Guides will also share their personal insight and experience throughout the tour.
Availability

VIP Tour arrangements may be made by calling Disney Special Activities at (714) 300-7710 (8436-7710) and speaking with a Disney Special Activities Coordinator. VIP Tour Requests may be taken up to 90 days in advance. To ensure availability, a minimum notice of 72 hours is suggested. Tours are available during normal Park operating hours only. Note: Tours may not be available during certain holiday periods. Call for details.

Pricing

One VIP Tour Guide can host up to 10 Guests. If the party size is larger than 10 Guests, a second VIP Tour Guide will be provided at an additional cost. Park admission is not included in the tour pricing but can be arranged by Guide for an additional charge.

Tours: $75 per hour/per VIP Tour Guide – 4 hour minimum when scheduled more than 48 hours in advance. $95 per hour/per VIP Tour Guide – 4 hour minimum when booked same day if Guides are available.

Cancellations: Advance notice of 48 hours is required to avoid a cancellation fee equal to two (2) hours at the booked rate per VIP Tour Guide.

Tickets: Park admission is not included in the hourly rate.

Meals: Priority seating for all Disneyland Resort restaurants may be arranged by the VIP Tour Guide.

It's $75 per hour per guide. In July, I had a party of 12 and we had 2 guides. It does not include early admission and you wait in lines, just with the guide. We did get to enter the park thru the exit instead of standing in the long lines for the front gate. The guide will go ahead for you and get Fastpasses while you wait in other lines, even park hopping to get them for youi. While we went on the Matterhorn, the guides went ahead of us and procured seating for Jedi academy. While at Jedi, she called Goofy's and lined up PS for 7pm for our large party after I had been told by Disney Dining 7pm wasn't available. She arranged seating for us at the Train station for fireworks.

Some celebrities will get to use the exits for entry if their standing in lines will cause problems. In this case it is not how much money, but safety that determines which line they use.

For us, it was money well spent and we plan on using the services again.

Not all VIP's get front of line access, as Malcon10t pointed out. It depends upon how much of a celebrity the person is...so to speak. Most VIP tour groups do wait in line.

i read a whole essay once on social stratification in theme parks. the main point of the essay stated that a theme park is a place where once one enters, they are supposed to be treated the same, whether they're poor and this may be the only visit they make in their lifetime, or if they are an annual passholder. it argued that vip treatment and front of the line passes create class issues within theme parks. it didn't really get on disneyland and their vip services; it's main argument was against universal studios' front of the line pass.
