Who Else Here wants the Blue Bayou scene unchanged in POTC?

The Blue Bayou scene in POTC though fairly quiet, is actual one of the most impressive scenes in all of DL, the attention to detail and atmosphere is through the roof. If you replaced the old man on the rocking chair with Tia Dalma a lot of that great atmosphere of actually being in a real bayou would be lost. Who else agrees that Tia Dalma should stay out of the Bayou?

Only if they have her as a 60-foot tall digital projection that transforms into a waterfall of crabs. It could replace the cabin scene! That would add to the subtlety and atmosphere of the area, I think.

Tia Dalma doesn't belong in the Bayou scene. If she were to be placed in the attraction, whe would have to be added after the waterfalls, after we've been taken back in time. Otherwise, she'd be quite the anachronism.

I absolutely am opposed to this change by the way. It makes no sense, as MasterGracey pointed out, and PLUS, like you said, destroys the peacefulness and subtlety of the area.

I dont want the old man to leave. I like it just the way it is. If they want Tia in the ride find another place for her.

If there is to be changes I would like to see more fire flys ( they are getting pretty sparse) and the shooting star back ( have not seen it in some years). Then we can talk other changes.

Let me get this straight - you leave the 21st Century when you enter the building, you enter the 19th Century when you get on the boat, and then you enter the 18th Century when you go down the waterfall?

No, it's not, but so what? If you can cross time by entering the building, you can cross space too. You go from New Orleans to Pelegosto Island in the Caribbean. Disney magic, remember?
