Thanks for that, it's going in my favorites.

I just love that a running site has an advertisement for Wendy's cheesburgers.

Any walkers out there? There's no shame in walking it! I thought the heat was brutal. My friend & I just wanted to finish under 3:30 and we did it in 3:27, so I'm happy with that. AND the pretty medal! The most I'd done previously was 16 miles without the heat, and this was WAY worse. I think it was around 95 when we finished.

Congratulations on a great finish, and thanks for the video report. Did you (or ANYONE) get a still pic of that sign with the yellow, red, & black heat alerts? If so, could I snatch a copy? I wanted to remember that.

Hooray! I was there too. it was my first marathon of any kind ever and my fiance and I both finished in 3:21 which got us that awesome medal, so I'm super happy. definitely sore today, must admit that I did almost no training at all. I walked most of it, the last 3 miles were the hardest.

I agree...after Angel stadium was brutal...but when I saw the sign that pointed to Disney Way... I was like "Yes! Almost done!"

I bet all the althletes from yesterday are gonna be sore all week...I'm really sore...and I'm missing out on cross country practice...wait...why do I need to train when I ran 13.1 miles?! lol

    I'm just kidding...training is important.

I'm super sore. That pulled calf muscle is haunting me. But makes for a great war story as I hobble around.

Once I hit Angel stadium and started running again it went fast. The streets were tough because it just seemed to go on and on. Just heat and ashpalt. I can't imagine doing a normal half marathon (without the entertainment).

I am so excited about doing it again. I know DW Orlando has tons of runs. My husband and I are actually considering centering an Orlando vacation around a run.

I agree...I hate the part when we had to run on the roads...directly looking at the sun! That was harsh...

I didn't see anyone w/ a Nemo costume...but I did see someone offer someone to go on the subs! "No line! Go in!"

It was all a joke of course! lol

Way to go. You were just between my son and Dad. The heat was a challenge for everyone I'm sure.

Congratulations again. I hope to do at least the 5K next year. It is fun to mix pleasure of the park and the pain of running.

Re: BCC's Half Marathon Trip Report!

    Congrats to everyone who ran.

My brother and I ran. He finished 2hr 6min. I had trouble between mile 11 and 12. The heat really got to me but I had a strong last mile and finished just over 2hr 14min.

Can't wait to do it next year.

Sidenote: we got back to hotel, cleaned up and made it to park just after opening and stayed till closing. Yes...I am sore, but the beer helped.
