Will we be allowed at the dedication ceremony?

Will they let us see the dedication ceremony? If so, how many time should we wait to get a good seat? Thanks

I don't know if we will be allowed in yet. I hear it's a media only event, but I might be wrong?

BTW -- get there early regardless. They may have to start turning people away early in the day due to major capacity issues.

Well, now that you're inviting me... Yeah maybe... don't know how I'll tell my family about it (they don't know anything about Mice Chat) so I hope thy don't react in a bad way when I tell them I'm going to meet a group of "strangers". But i think they'll take ir just fine.

if it's anything like the ceremony on the 5th, you won't be seeing much & getting a "seat" will be out of the question. the whole area in front of the castle was roped off for the media & the rest of us lowly guests were herded in through main street around the outside of the hub for standing room only. the best i can describe it is a very calm mosh pit. everyone pretty much standing around craning their necks to see the people on stage & every once in awhile, the whole crowd would push forward in a huge mass.

i REALLY hope it's different this time around, but i'm not counting on it.

Re: Will we be allowed at the dedication ceremony?

We opted to avoid the ceremony on the 5th and watch video later. Instead, we walked directly onto half a dozen Fantasyland rides. It was fantastically deserted; the only downside was that for some reason Peter Pan was in the area around the castle roped off for the shenanigans, which was depressing since it had been our whole reason for going directly to Fantasyland as opposed to one of the e-tickets. It would be nice if they could find a different way to accommodate all the media, but somehow I doubt it. I predict a repeat of the kickoff, and I'll be getting away from Main Street and the hub as quickly as I can manage.

The ceremony will be open to the public.....getting a view is another issue. It takes place at 10am.
