Talking Disneyland 1/2 Marathon Proud Mom

I just want to brag about my son that finished the Disneyland 1/2 Marathon today. He didn't train very much, but he did finish!!

His time was 2 hours 5 min!! He was the 9th 14 yr old to finish. My Dad was with him and he finished the 9th 59 year old.

A friend of mine and I volunteered at the finish line.

I am so very proud of my boy. He made a goal and may not have gotten there the same way I would have but he did it.

Congratulations to everyone that finished. It was VERY Hot today even at 6:00AM.

Mickey & Minnie started the race. My son tells me that there were characters throughout the course cheering them on. This is a great Disney Family Event and we look forward to participating again.

Enjoy the few pictures from a proud Mom. thanks......

Ah, congratulations! That's definitely something to be proud of, your boys did well!

I applaud anybody who has that kind of energy so early in the morning.

Mickey and Minnie are just too cute! It's nice that they had characters around to cheer on the runners.

    This is awesome.

One of my pastors ran this today - he's also a very old friend of mine, was my best man in my wedding and is now my cousin by marriage (his wife and my wife are cousins - probably more info than you needed but I am in a mood to type tonight! ) I scoped your pics looking for Dan, but I couldn't find him. Oh well....

Anyway, Dan wants me to participate in this with him next year. He actually wanted me to do it this year, but this has been a 'far different year' than I expected - too much going on to train - so maybe next year!

Congrats again to your family members who ran this. Very awesome.

Congrats to your family! I only run when chased, so running a half marathon is amazing to me.

He did great! I also love the pictures (I was there but was so far back I couldn't view Mickey and Minnie). Thanks for sharing.
