The music loop on Main Street! I love hearing The Music Man playing.

Ummm.....Does the music of The Dapper Dans count? Their voices are amazing! I miss watching them.

There is way to much Disneyland/DCA music that I love and it wont all fit onto one post. lol.

Re: Your Favorite Disneyland Music...Share It Here!

I love the music of Disneyland. I'm a musician and music lover in general, but the music of Disneyland has a knack for really exciting me. Area music is great fun--I love the sentimental cheeriness Main Street, the laid-back Dixieland fun of NOS, and the sometimes-familiar sci-fi-ness of Tomorrowland--but it's the ride music that really gets me. Favorites of mine:

    * Indiana Jones Adventure. John Williams is my favorite composer of all time, and the suite of music from the three Indy films that was arranged and re-recorded for the ride is amazing. Many of the best passages are represented and they fit perfectly with the ride. This is one of the best examples of ride scoring I've ever heard.
    * The Haunted Mansion. "Grim Grinning Ghosts" is imaginative and extraordinarily versatile. Buddy Baker did a fantastic job spreading it through the entire ride in a variety of enjoyable and unique ways.
    * Pirates of the Caribbean. The 60s-era "Overture" and "Scare Me Music" are dated, but oh-so-fun nevertheless. "Yo Ho" itself is a lot more repetitive than GGG, but it still manages to be lots of fun.
    * Space Mountain. The Dick Dale/Camille Saint-Saens/Aarin Richard and Michael Giacchino versions are both great fun, albeit in different ways. Both are effective in the ride and on their own.
    * Splash Mountain. I feel bad saying it, but...well, I admit it--I like the endlessly cheery music of Splash Mountain. It somehow manages to make me feel happy. The nightmarish music before the big drop is very well done, too.

    Star Tours is good, too.

I feel as lighthearted and happy now as I felt grumpy after ranting about the POTC changes!

My fav could very well be the Club 33 version of "Feed the Birds". It was Walt's favorite too so I'm in good company.

I love the version of Swanee River on the 50th Anniversary CD. I listen to the Indiana Jones Adventure a lot too.
    But come on.
Nothing tops the violin sound at the top of Fantasmic! It only gets better after that.

Has anyone else noticed that among the classic Western themes played on the Frontierland loop is the themesong from "Blazing Saddles"? Just quietly in the mix. I burst out laughing the first tip I noticed it.
