Denny's has been running a new commercial here in Phoenix, and I assume elsewhere. It starts with the manager saying something like "My Denny's is across the street from one of the biggest theme parks in the country. I just love seeing the kids come in the morning all excited and planning out their day. It reminds me of my own kids and how much fun we have."
1) Anyone that has been to DL knows which "theme park" he's talking about!
2) So what is the sub-conscious message of this commercial? If you're going to DL for the 50th, eat breakfast at Denny's before going into the park....OR....Eat at Denny's and it will bring back the memories of your Disneyland vacation?
Either way, if I were Disney I'd be more than a little POed by Denny's glomming onto my 50th celebration.
