Re: Cars E Ticket for DCA.

I wonder how quickly TDA and WDI can get going on this? That is if they have the green light, that this attraction would go in any future DCA re think.

Meanwhile, will the autopia type rides at WDW MK, Tokyo Disneyland, Paris and Hong Kong get replaced by this CARS e-ticket, cause I doubt it will be developed solely for D.C.A., if it has potential to pull in visitors and sell tickets at any of the other parks it'll get quickly cloned. Once the ride has been engineered and built at one park, any of the other parks can essentially open a P.O. and buy a copy from WDI in Glendale. From my understanding the ride "belongs" to WDI until it's delivered and operating at the park, then the individual park takes over and pays WDI an interoffice budget transfer. So WDI benefits from their blueprints becoming reality, as the parks have to pay up.

I think if there is a decent story, some SPEED to the ride, and long enough ride, it would be a big hit.

One concern is that recent DCA rides have been a tad on the short side. Chew Chew Train is barely long enough to swallow. TOT is the abbreviated edition from WDW. Monsters Inc. is barely long enough to justify the hour wait.

I just hope the Imagineers realize that if you have people going fast, they need a lot longer track.
I just hope it goes through a highly themed and immersive CARS environment, finally DCA will have a TAKE ME AWAY ride, as the roller coaster and Soarin' are just short of that and Monsters Inc and Tower have such long lines that you aren't getting much themed bang for your darned buck.

No I doubt that...WDW has Test Track already and why on earth would Disney be spending money on Autopia now for HKDL when they wanted to rip it out 4 years from now for this Cars ride?

Well if HK wasn't halfway thru building an all new all electric autopia, I'd say it made sense to change out this ride at all the parks. But if the Cars E Ticket goes into DCA it will mean that DL get's HK's electric cars or stays with gasoline and the cars they've got now. I imagine if they still have a lot of miles left in em they'll keep using em till they died.... That's how monorails are maintained at least.
