What would you put in at the tomorrowland entrance.

What would you put at the entrance to tomorrowland, if the astro orbiter is to be removed, as wel as those rocks?

I would love to see an overhead water feature. Like, dancing water, dancing over your head, or something that just makes everybody go "ooh, aah".

    Your thoughts.

I made a thread on this before (no worries though - I've made MANY threads on the same thing, but that's behind me, as per my apology in the Lounge posted today) and my opinion is that the entrance should be a clear path with fountains on the SIDES (not the path) to add kinetics without blocking traffic.

Move Astro Orbiter to Rocket Jets old spot, then place some sort of fountain thing that won't be a public bath or cause traffic congestion.

Move astro orbiter back on Pm track, and then put some really cool water feature, and then at night, have a cool water show!

Re: What would you put in at the tomorrowland entrance.

I think Grumpy4 is referring to the "Clock of the World" which told every given time at any given country at that point-in-time.

I thought about that too, but I agree with putting the Rocket Jets back on top of the PM and working from there (PM and the Astro-Orberter probably needs mor attention first).
But I also believe Tomorrowland desirves a "post or marker" of some sort like the other Lands.

Just take away Astro Orbiter. Although I prefer the ride on the ground than on the roof, I will concede it causes a choke point where there REALLY shouldn't be one.

I don't think Tomorrowland needs a plaque commemorating the fact that it sucks less than it used to, and musical fountains are pointless as long as the fireworks show continues to play on the same concept nearly every night.

Excuse me, they could get the fountains doing nifty things with remember, so then only the people at tomorrowland would be able to see! Wow, you know how you can't see the cool affects for remember anywhere but the hub, well, then make it so each place you can view it at, has something that you can only see from that area! Like the fountains in tomorrowland, fountains projections and fireworks for TSI, small world could have some neat little affects too!

Re: What would you put in at the tomorrowland entrance.

How about a time capsule for the people of tomorrow? It could make an interesting addition to a new, cleaner and far more streamlined entrance to Tomorrowland. Any nods to Jules Verne and H.G. Wells are apparently lost on and to current tastes. Frank Gehry might prove a better influence at this point.

Move Astro Orbitors back where it belongs, then put a plaque with free chewing tobacco nearby that says, "Here Harriss and Pressler spat on Walt, now it's your turn to return the favor for Walt".

Alternately, it could be free chewing gum, and have it be the only spot in the park not cleaned each night... ewww...

Fountains on the sides, in front of the buildings, with lucite sculptures.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Re: What would you put in at the tomorrowland entrance.

What I would do is leave the Entrance basically the same. But I would repaint the rocks to the new paint scheme. I would also remove Astro Orbitor but renovate it. Repaint it with the new colors, add neon lightning effects, futuristic sounds, and make it travel faster. Also, instead of having it positioned completely on ground level, I would dig a whole around its area, and lift it off the ground by about 15 inches. Below it, I would have secretly placed fog machines and neon lighting. And over the whole area I would have spiral rings circle it. That's just me. Because without it in the way of the Tomorrowland Entrance, it would look so empty. But I would also remove the current mini Tomorrowland sign and add a new one with the new font of Tomorrowland and new colors and hang it over the guests similar to WDW's. Then, the sign would light and have other effects.
