How do I tell my boss I need Sundays off to go to the meets?

Well? How should I do that?

I could come up with some awesome "I now have church on Sundays. I go to the Church of Walt. I need Sundays off to worship my god."

I want to hear your ideas.

My manager and coworkers love me, they hated the fact that I wanted to quit because of the horrible pay and little help I usually got, among other reasons. Anyways they think I'm an awesome employee (although not awesome enough to be offered a raise) and want to have me work 40 hours a week while other people have their hours reduced. I have school two days a week and that takes priority.

Tell them that prior commitments on every sunday need to take place over your job, and in order to keep you you MUST MUST MUST be given every sunday off. Also, offer them to carpool to Disneyland if they want to come.

Just kidding. I liked your idea though.

Just tell your boss you want Sundays off?

Tell him/her that you have to meet with your "mental health support group" on Sundays.

Tell the truth. If you don't, and your boss finds out, then you'll be in a lot more trouble than missing the meets.

Maybe your boss is also a Disneyholic, and he'll understand.

I doubt she'll go for that. She takes every Saturday off because she is "used to it". I've worked every weekend for as long as I can remember unless I ask to have one day off specifically.

Kinda hard to suddenly become sick every Sunday. Plus I like to get to the park around the time the gates open and I usually don't start work till around 1. Not making an hour long trip up there just for a few hours and I'd miss the meet too!

I should. The only thing is I have to wear a hat, baseball cap style(I work with food), while working, but when I'm not working I can wear my mouse ears.

Honestly I'll probably go even more crazy being with them than without them.

Say, working on Sundays is against your religion! No offense to any religion.

Well, I have some time before I can get my annual pass to come to the meets to decide on how I shall ask about it.

My boss is not a Disneyholic... I'd know by now with all the Disney stuff I talk about while working.

I was trying to go for that with my "C.O.W., Church of Walt" thing but I'm not sure if she'll go for that. I've never been religious before and it's an odd time for me to start now.

Just say that you have been missing out on doing stuff on the weekends since you started the job, you've been thinking about it, and you really want Sundays off. You can be ambiguous about it and if pressed for reasons say that you want to spend time with whoever, go to Disneyland, knowing you have one day off for sure is nice and whatever other reasons.

    aww,
I took the Tue through Sat shift because of this LOL
AS many tines as it's change, I just kept saying I need Sundays off!!! No reason!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
