    Haunted Mansion or Submarine Voyage?

    Yo!

I'm coming back to Disneyland after 10 years on the east coast, and I'm wicked excited...it's been way too long. I'm getting there for rope drop on Saturday, September 22 -- and my question is, should I go to the Haunted Mansion or Submarine Voyage first?

I know they just switched over to the Holiday edition of Haunted Mansion so it'll probably be busy all day...but I don't want to have outrageous lines for Submarine Voyage either. What's going to be my best bet?

    Looking forward to the answers...

    Stefan

Is the HM even open yet? I thought it was taking another week...

It opens tomorrow. I'd ride the subs because the line might be shorter early on the day.

I would highly recommend Submarine Voyage. It will be the off-season, but also bear in mind that there might be Early Entry that day. Nonetheless, the Subs will undoubtedly have a longer line. Haunted Mansion Holiday should not be that bad, and you will wait a lot less in that line as opposed to the Subs.

I would recommend, as I do to all, to save the subs for last thing at night, just before park closing. If the day you're there is an Early Entry day, chances are the lines for the subs will already be long, and if you go last thing at night, it's like free time in the park, and the line really dies down late at night. Line for HM moves so much faster, too. However, HM likely won't get a rush right at 8am, so it couldn't hurt to check out the subs line right at opening, and then move on if it's already too long and just plan on returning right before the park closes.

I would say....neither...Peter Pan first! The subs are definitely going to better later in the day, especially since it is an early entry day. HMH even with it just opening shouldn't be that bad. I think they have FastPass for HMH too dont they?

I agree. Peter Pan first. That's my new plan then!
"Peter," she asked, trying to speak firmly, "what are your exact feelings to me?"
"Those of a devoted son, Wendy."
"I thought so," she said, and went and sat by herself at the extreme end of the room.

If you do not have early entry, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland will already have lines. Peter Pan, Alice, Dumbo, Toad's, Matterhorn, and the subs fill up more quickly the others.

If it were me, I'd do the subs last. Get in line as late as you can. Heck.

I would head over to the other side of the park first. There, nobody had an hour head start on me. I tend to hit Indy early and treat it like it doesn't have fast pass.

You might run and take a peak at the Peter pan line if you want. If it and the other FL rides you want to do are under 10 or so, I'd do it. If not, I'd go to the other side of the park.

Do both at the same time. Go on Mansion and you can be finding Nemo's pipe organ.

I like the cut of your jib, HBG!

By the way, I know what you mean, but "finding Nemo's pipe organ" still sounds dirty.

I'll be at the park on Saturday, too. BUT, I won't be there until 12:30p-1:00p. Does anyone think the HMH FP will all be gone by that point, or will the return time just be for way-late? I've never been on HMH, but have seen the crowds it draws. YIKES!!

    Just wondering...
