    Saturday night on Main Street

I figured I may as well post this.

Saturday night, I'm going into the park before they close off the gates. I'll be in Main Street somewhere near Coke Corner* at midnight. After Disneyland is announced to be closed (meaning it's midnight), I'm going to sing happy birthday. A couple people are already joining me, but I thought I'd extend the invitation.

This is not an official meet, I'm not changing the time or location*, but if you want to join us, please do.

(*- if Rod Miller, by some miracle, is back in the park and playing piano that night at Plaza Pavilion, this meet will be moved to the piano. Otherwise, plan on it being in front of Coke Corner on Main Street)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

I guess I should have put this in the OP:

Would you like to join me? I'd like to know!

Re: Saturday night on Main Street

This sounds like such a cool idea. I don't know if I will be able to make it. Schedule puts me all the way at the Disneyland Hotel near midnight. With my room being there, I don't know if I'd want to detour back to the Park considering that, even if I were to fall asleep at the stroke of 12:15, that would mean a scant four hours sleep before waking up to get into DCA under the wire.

But the idea appeals to me, so who knows? I may just show up. No guarantees.

C'mon, you KNOW it would be cool and heartwarming... before all the hype and craziness kicks in.

I like this idea! I will plan to be there if I'm not sleeping. or drunk. or both. I'm going nuts and actually typing up my itinerary in an Excel file, so i'll be able to reference it all weekend. i may go over to the drink up meet before this. do you think they'll let me back in teh park if i'm drunk? if so, I may not sing perfectly on key either.

Re: Saturday night on Main Street

Simple: don't drink to get drunk

My dad has a great way to handle this at parties: one glass of water to every glass of alcohol. Slows down drinking, rehydrates, and overall you end up drinking less over the course of the evening.

If I'm paying attention to the time, I'll head over there. Sounds like fun.

I get off work at 11:00pm so there's a slight chance I might make it. I'm sure you guys have a plan for being one of the first in DCA too?

Love to, but nope. I'll be at DtD for the drink fest, but then back to the room to read some HP and get some zzzzz's. I'll sing Happy Birthday Sunday at the park. It's sad how precious sleep is.
