It's getting expensive to go to the park.

That's a ton of money to plop down for only 1.5 parks! I might just have to go back to my DAP again.

A DCA hopper is now $25 more than Disneyland alone??? That's a 25% increase in the cost of DCA!!! I'm not sure it's worth it with or without Toy Story Midway Blasters.

I was surprised, by the new 1-Day ParkHopper price... I used to recommend the 1-Day ParkHopper to friends, but now the $91 price just seems obscene. A $20 difference seems much more stomachable than a $25 difference to me...

    Re: Ticket price increases

I found an old ticket from 1982 and the price was $10.25 even if you adjust for inflation it comes out to $21.30 in 2007 dollars
When I go to Disneyland, I tune my FRS Radio to channel 2, without a quiet code. They're faster than a cell phone and you can talk to a whole group at a time, and you don't have to get everyone's cell phone number in advance.

    Re: Ticket price increases

I doubt the prices will go down. I do think they will continue to increase until the notice a drop in attendance and then may level out. If people are willing to pay it and the park is still packed, then why would they lower it?

Wow, they went for the jugular with these increases. I guess as long as the increases have no real negative effect on the amount of people who show up, it only justifies the hefty price hikes in their mind (and most certainly in their pockets).

As was discussed in another thread - with the invention of the AP - a large percentage of people (including myself and most on this board) pay less than $21 per visit so DL is cheaper today than back in 1982 (how many of us went 10+ times a year in 1982?).

What did Disneyland have in 1982 also?
