Shooter that is really cool. Btw Welcome to MiceChat. See ya around.! It is a nice reminder when you go and visit.

Re: Walk of Magical memories.. Did any one sponsor a stone?

    Welcome to micechat, Shooter!

I've been wanting to buy one too. I hope they'll let me do the dates the way I want. The paperwork says only one date, but I want July 17, 55-05 because the stone will have my dad's name as well as mine. We'll see if they let me. Gotta save up the dough first.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

We have two. One for our anniversary and one for the kids.

Someone messed up (though, we didn't mind) and sent us a second clear acrylic one of our anniversary, so one is on display in our living room and one in our bedroom.

And yes, for you straight-laced ones out there, we did call and let them know about THEIR mistake. They kindly told us to keep it, no charge. And even thanked US!

Thumbs up Re: Walk of Magical memories.. Did any one sponsor a stone?

Our brick(s) will be located in Sect. C-17 #7,8,9 &10. We will be ordering an acrylic replica of our brick in November when we visit. I'm going to try to create something in wood to mount it to and will attempt to post a picture of it when finished. I'm going to start a woodcrafting business next August when I retire. This link will take you to an album of the stuff I've done so far:http://www.kodakgallery.com/BrowsePh...photo_count=2& I'm going to try to do more Disney stuff in the future. To all those who welcomed me to Mice Chat, thanks. I think I'm going to enjoy it. Take care.................

^ I would definitely be interested in the mount you are able to come up with. I purchased a wooden replica and have been wondering how to display it. Please let me know when you are able to put something together!

Our brick went in right before 7/17. I had called the week before to see if they knew when it would go in and they said they were hoping before the birthday and sure enough about the 15th there was section C17 filled in.

Hi dramaqueen: Yes, I will let you know when I come up with something. Hopefully the wood and acrylic "bricks" are the same dimensions, so it will work for either one. I'm looking forward to retiring and finally doing what I want to do when I want to do it (or not)! If the woodcrafting business gets to the point where it becomes "work" instead of "fun" , I will quit the business . My mind is racing a mile a minute with ideas on what to do using Disney "stuff". Thanks for the contact..............

Red Face Re: Walk of Magical memories.. Did any one sponsor a stone?

Lightning Bug: Thanks for the kind words . I don't know just yet what I will come up with but I'm always thinking . Luckily, I haven't had too many "senior moments" to effect my thinking processes. My youngest daughter and her family, my niece and her family, and my sister-in-law and her husband are all avid Disney fans. I must admit to becoming one also . This will be the 4th year in a row that we've made the trip. Next year, when I retire, I'm thinking of getting annual passes for my wife and I. We have a ball each time we visit . Our 5 kids range in age from 21 to 33 so we don't need a baby sitter any more! Again, thanks for the kind words about my woodcrafting . I hope to hone my skills much more before I shuffle off this mortal coil. Take care.......

Mike (MCOW1): Looks as if we're neighbors! I'll be looking for your brick when we visit in November. I'm so anxious to get there again that I even have a countdown timer on my desktop that reads in days, hours, minutes and seconds. Of course, the retirement one is at the top of the list. I'll be 60 when I pull the plug with 48 years of work behind me so I think I'll be ready for it. Take care.............SJ

Morrigoon:Thanks for the welcome . You can call Disney @ 800-760-3566 and contact the Magical Memories Office and speak to a cast member. Hours are Mon.-Fri. 8am-5pm and Saturday 8am-4pm PST. I know the bricks are a bit pricey but, what is the value of a memory? It's only at this point in my life that I am able to do things like this . I hope you are successful in your endeavors . Take care...............SJ

Excellent idea for a gift . I think as more people become aware of the brick program, they will participate also. I also think it's very special that you love your parents so much that you are willing to do that for them. Not all of us are that lucky. If they are able to go, you should all go together some time for a trip. This November, the week before Xmas, my wife and I, our two daughters, and eldest son and thier families are going for 4 days. My wife and I are going to "kidnap" the grandkids (ages 3,6,and 8) for about half a day and spoil the kids rotten and then give them back! The two youngest ones are 3 year veterans already. This will be the older ones first time. We're(grandma and I) are looking forward to it. Being a grandparent is the best revenge on your children! Take care and thanks for the contact.....................SJ
