    Question Fantasy Waters...What's Up???

A while back ago there was a thread about the Fantasy Waters future over at the Disneyland Hotel. I haven't been back there in so long and was just curious to know what the fate was of this show? Is it still down, are they bringing it back up, or perhaps changing it to something better?

    Thanks!

Last time I went there a couple months ago it was a planter. It's actually pretty convincing as a planter too and I wouldn't expect it back ever after seeing the modifications to the area. Pretty depressing to see it if you know what was there, but for people that don't know about Fantasy Waters, you'd never know it even existed because the planter fits so well!

It's not returning. It will eventually be demolished, but since it's Disney, they won't remove it until a viable replacement is greenlighted (reportedly a miniature golf course). I'm sure there will be a tribute to Fantasy Waters in the new course.

I seem to remember taking the Jr. Miss Sunnygirl to go see it several times when she was very little (like 2 or 3 years old) and I recall being quite impressed by the show.

Now that is innovative... a miniature golf course! No one has ever seen one of those! That makes sense, replace the magic of bringing water to life with a miniature golf course!

The show was small (and I mean small) but it was cute and free. It was also a nice way to relax over at the hotel.

Hmmm it is unfortunate that the show is gone but yea it was great just about every "special" friday night with my friends and family was spent there.

Oh well what can we do. A golf course eh? Hmmm not impressed at that thought at ALL!

This was a wonderful show. Magical in it's own quaint way, entertaining, and absolutely free. It was something that added to the atmosphere of being in a magical place, even when you weren't in the park. It's sad to see it gone. Just like the ice skating rink they used to have in the courtyard. It just shows the diminishing of the small touches that made DL such a wonderful place. Now its all about streamlining and cash flow. Walt, if you're up there, please look away...

Why would anyone stay at the Disneyland Hotel? There's not much anything of interest left to the place.

Perhaps you have not seen Disney miniature golf courses? The two at WDW are amazing and VERY magical. I'll take Fantasmic! and whatever water show they eventually get over Paradise Bay and a fun miniature golf course over Fantasy Waters. However, I do agree that the DLH is in no way worth the cost of staying there...they charge wdw's deluxe resort prices for less-than-deluxe accomodations. It's time for some new, nicer hotels to keep me away from the Good Neighbor Hotels, Disney.
