I hate the way the autopia cars look with the cartoonish look. They need to make the cars more futuristic with a serious look.

The old Autopia was fine...
I agree but I would like them to get a better theme for this outdated attraction. The theme is just so old that it is not tomorrowland by any means. It would also help if the cars were 4 seaters instead of 2.Originally Posted by MotorBoatCruise2005
Well, the future for the kids driving the Autopia is that they'll be able to really drive one day. Still, it's not futuristic really.
Yes that is true but wouldn't it be cooler if they would make the kids drive the car of the future?Originally Posted by MotorBoatCruise2005
Cars can only be so futuristic...
I'd like to fly some cars or something, but that seems out of reach. Autopia is fine. It's for the kiddies and they love driving it...
There are an infinate amount of possibilities when it comes to a futuristic design. They have tons of concept cars that look really futuristic. It is so bad right now that those cars are a running advertisement. The queue line videos are very annoying as well. I also find it quite bad that autopia has needed a new paint job and makeover for a while now and nothing has been done to make it match with the new tomorrowland scheme.Originally Posted by Soulquarian
I agree with you about the design, but do we need to see it go down for the sake of a makeover? I don't think it's REALLY needed, and different looking vehicles isn't going to make that much difference....Originally Posted by Disneyfreak
They should change the scenery! Now we're talking!
Chevron's contract runs until 2010 and they're not going to breach it for any reason whatsoever, close thread
Well when you are talking about a makeover of the cars, the scenery would go with it naturally. Have any ideas guys about a futuristic setting the cars could travel through? The possibilities are endless.Originally Posted by Soulquarian
Last time I checked that is only 5 years from now.Originally Posted by squinky
Yeah...Chevron's contract is halfway over.
With a nod to the future, shouldn't they at least be hybrid vehicles?
If the ride could just have a more visually futuristic look, I think it'd be okay.
I don't think anything will really be done until the contract expires.
I don't mind the way it is now. Autopia, while ridden by all ages, is mainly geared towards kids as a tool to give them a heads-up in the driving dept., which I think is very important, considering most crazy drivers out there on the road today.
It would be cool if it was more futuristic (like flying cars), but with it's cartoonish atmosphere drawing kids, I think it's fine at the moment, and still decent enough for it's time.
Take me to Neverland...
