Making Star Tours fit into tomorrowland

This idea was posted by me in another thread regarding the awkard themeing of star tours:

It can be agreed the technology of Star Wars is advanced compared to our own. What if this advanced civilization could travel through "time and space" and henceforth offer "tours" through "time and space"?

Basically, what if somehow Star Tours was able to take the guest through space and time?

That way it could be unique and have synergy. The themeing would work perfectly in tomorrowland and no one could complain.

It be a sort of Back to the Future meets Star Tours meets the Terminator.

What are your thoughts on this idea and how could it be fleshed out to be made more unique?

Interesting except that time travel was never part of the Star Wars legend.

Sure, but the legend took place a long time ago. Their galaxy would have to be pretty advanced today...

That's true California Adventurer, but why couldn't it be?

The extended universe is making new stuff up all the time and Star Tours is technically part of the extended universe. Why couldn't the line be themed to inform the guests of this advanced technology from the past, given to us to benefit the future. Or to at least benefit the travel industry.

'Cause if it were, somebody could have just as easily travelled back in time and killed off kid Anakin before he became Darth Vader.

The inclusion of time travel in the Star Wars universe would have rendered the 6-film story pointless.

Yeah and for these reasons George Lucas is never going to sign off on it.

Good use of your imagination but it won't be possible.

With all of the changes Lucas loves to make it would probably be easier to get him to remove the films' opening literary device.

I don't really think Star Tours needs to go the suggest route because Star Tours, IMO, really doesn't have a problem 'fitting in' with the Tomorrowland theme.

However, Bubbadunne's mention of Terminator did make me think of how cool it could be if Disney came up with some kind of 3D, live action attraction for Tomorrowland in the vein of T2:3D in Universal. I think I would enjoy an attraction like that replacing HISTA instead of tampering with Lucas' plans with Star Tours.

I think Star Tours fits in perfectly with Tomorrowland--or rather, I think it fits in perfectly with how Tomorrowland should be.

Ooo...good point about the whole killing anakin thing...but why would you want to? He eventually restored the balance of the force by killing palpatine. Wait you say! Why not just go back and kill palpatine? Because it would be handled just like mace was handled. Death of the assasin. And do you really think palpatine would want it made public that he had an assasination attempt from the future?

Just using my imagination here guys.
