    Asteroid Pic / Track Info

Hi, I've noticed people on here wanting to see what the asteroid in SM looks like so I took a few pics. Just to warn you they are terrible.

I accidentally got a bit close on this one.

This one I only got the top half, I'm pretty sure or it might be the middle.

Well yea you get the picture that's what's there. Well I'm on the subject everyone should be happy to hear there is a new projection as of today. 7/13.

Oh, and also for the people who swear on their life that the RR/PM track had got a brand new rail I wanted to let you knwo that sadly this is not true. While i was on the monorail today i decided to take a picture of the track by bending out the window a bit. Since there was no one in the car but me and a friend thanks to a swarm of bees. Haha.

Here is a picture of the track by the Monorail loading platform.

The whole track looks exactly like this nice and rusted. With the exception of some parts of the track that you can't see since there are trees growing on to it.

Wait, the asteroid is now lit up? Does it lunge at your rocket like they announced?

it's right next to the blue meteor / asteroid. It seems to be a sun like projection, or a meteor on fire. One of the two, though it doesnt move next to you as the blue one does.

Hmm... perhaps now I can be less disappointed!

Looks like I'll have to take an early morning trip to Disneyland tomorrow!

I'm so there tomorrow! Looks to be very cool, and I'm sure it's even better in person than some extreme close-up shos of it.

That meteor looks awesome! Also not suprised that there is nothing going on with the Rocket Rusts.

When the MC meet went on SM Sunday it was dark. I could make out the shape but it was not lit at all. I went on it at 11:30AM and again at around 3-4PM.

You never know, they may of not turned on movement. It would be cool if they would keep putting in things like this over time.

I did notice there was an orangish projection on monday, I didn't really think anything of it since i didn't see it directly, just a bit of orange light while on the track.

Glad to see they got the asteroid up and running just in the nick of time...it looks very nice (I'm pretty sure it's on, b/c it looks like it was lit with a black light, which is probably not on the camera taking the picture
