Re: What do you think is in store for Disneyland in 2008?

As much as i love POTC, i don't enjoy seeing the merchandise everywhere.. so hopefully they tone that down, if they haven't done so already. ...dont' know what else..?

    a) better pay for the cast members
    b) benefits to ALL cast members regardless of their status
    c) more meal options for the cast members during breaks/lunches
    d) more character appearances on a regular basis(i.e. no more at random, only for a few moments then they are gone to backstage etc)
    e) NO BREAKDOWNS OF THE RIDES/ATTRACTIONS
    f) earlier opening times for the shops/restaurants/eateries to coincide with the park opening
    g) yes
    h) restoring pirates of the caribbean to its original non-movie additions and non pc changes appearance (except for the movie soundtrack during the fort scene)

In my dreams! I wish Adventureland Bazaar would still sell stuff from other countries and not just stuffed animals. I miss the cool stuff you could buy at DL in the separate lands.

Yeah, I'm with you on this. I miss where Le Bat On Rouge used to be and Pieces of Eight has exploded into a store much too big with not all that great merch. I love Pirates of the Caribbean but most of the stuff offered isn't anything special and there's just waaay too much of it.

I hope more penny press designs become available and I hope the PeopleMover will get some attention so it can make a comeback...maybe?

Blasphemy. Captain Jack can stay if he wants. But for goodness' sakes, bring back the old music (and lack thereof) and give us the captain back!

Where would the loading and unloading be for a revived PeopleMover?

Where it always was: right in the middle of Tomorrowland. The ENTIRE TRACK is still intact, including the original load/ unload. All you would have to do is reinstall the speedramp where the big planter underneath is now.

I'm hoping for an announcement regarding the Peoplemover reopening and Astro Orbiter relocation back to the Rocket Jets location. Also maybe an announcement for Frontierland.

I hope Al gives us an update this week.

don't forget the rotating platform to load the peoplemover, and that could cost a bit. If they brought the peoplemover back with the same loading area as rocket rods, I would still be happy, i would just be scurrying to catch up with the vehicles.

I think anything free from DLR is a "dream come true"

I wouldn't count on the PeopleMover's return since it would probably take more than 2008 to convert the track and build trains. Like with the end of YOAMD, all you can do is hope for an announcement from Disney on both of those.

I would love to see Halloween overlay for the Submarine ride or Splash Mountain overlay.

What we will see. (My guesses)
    1 YOAMD2
    2. Maybe a small world refurb.
    3. Maybe a POTC refurb to install more movie figures.
    4. More of the on going mprovements to the dark rides.
    5. Maybe the installation of the new effect from WDW into the HM if it works out at WDW.

    Nothing major.

What I'd like to see. My ideal prize for year of 999,999 small favors and 1 dream. I already know I'm not going to win the dream. So just give me this.
I'd like to be the guy that gets to take the sledge hammer to the sculpture in Tomorrowland. No need to put the rocket jets back or the people mover. Just let me at that Butt ugly sculpture.
