    Location question

so I'm bored at lunch and start fooling around with the satellite maps on live.com and I'm cursing over Disneyland and I've run in to something that I don't know what it is. It's not toon town, it's not that BBQ place behind thunder mountain. I figured someone here would know. What is it that I'm seeing at this link?

    Re: Location question

It's the old Festival of Fools arena. There used to be a show back there, but now they use it for special events.

That is where the Festival of Fools show was located during 1996 to hype The Hunchback of Notre Dame movie.

As long as I'm seeing what you're seeing, it's the Festival Arena. It's where the old Festival of Fools show was, just behind Big Thunder Ranch, and it's now used as a corporate picnic site.

Yeah, and it was also used as a concentration camp for Castmembers during the first Pirates of the Caribbean premier. Locked in the dark and told to shut up and like it. No way to treat human beings!

Okay, random moment of pride gone (I was five. )

I wish they'd reopen that! That'd be nifty.

Thanks, so much I knew folks here would know. It seems a pretty sizeable area so I figured it couldn't possibly be a public space that I somehow managed to just wander by all these years.

Sorry KT can't get the link to work. But there is/was a Big Thunder Ranch BBQ restaurant back there. Had ribs and Chicken. Tables sat out in the open. And the Billy Hills would preform on the little stage. I remember one afternoon it raining, and the Billies performing their last set in the midway.
