That seems to cheapen it to the status of "City Bus" instead of the regal title of Disneyland Monorail.
Either that or it looks like they just got done doing body work and now it is ready for the Earl Schieb paint job. Honestly, it looks like unfinished body work and primer spots. It doesn't say sleek, futuristic, streamlined, speed etc.
If you're going to paint them, paint them all the way. That looks bad.
Just to clear up the paint issue... the monorail train is actually covered in very large decals/wraps. Kind of like city busses (and the Las Vegas Monorail) have done to advertise certain things. It's the same as the Nemo promotion which just was taken off. Plus it allows the windows to be covered as well because there are thounsands of tiny holes it the window decals so passengers can still see out, but you can't see in.
Even fully covered as the apparently now are, I still think it cheapens the monorail to the status of city bus. It's just wrong. They shouldn't be used for advertising. WDW I can sort of see as it is actually a transportation system there, but at DL it is an attraction. That would be like putting ads for Pizza Port inside SM or Blue Bayou stuff on the side of the Wicked Wench.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter
Does this mean that YOaMD is here to stay for a long while???
You bet you DreamCloud(R) ears it is.
Well I for one am glad that we had some forewarning of this happening. I dunno if my heart can take many more YoaMD "surprises."
It's obvious that the other half of the decal will be added like tomorrow, so that's the last of my worries. But I stand behind what I said before; our highway in the sky will disappear into the clouds! Since naturally the monorail, being on an elevated concrete beam, is usually viewed against the sky, Red will simply vanish from view!
I'd like to keep my cloud-hater status, but this time I'm neutral. The Dreamorail is convenient because due to its camouflage it's real easy to ignore. Let me put it this way: I'm not going to wait for Cloudy at the station like I did for Nemorail.
