The reason my avatar is California Adventurer is because I travel through the state extensively, nothing to do with the 2nd gate in Anaheim.

I've actually been to every county along Hwys 1, 101, 395 and 5.

In Nor Cal, I have stayed overnight in Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino, Sonoma, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Monterey, El Dorado, Tuolumne, and Mariposa counties.

You guys should explore Southern California. There's a lot to see in Santa Barbara, Ventura, LA and San Diego counties which surround the OC.

Not enough people get out and see the Real California Adventure, there are some amazing sights to be seen here in Cali.

Both Northern and southern California are so very different. Even the people are different. If I could get my wife to consider moving to southern california maybe in the Pasadena or Temple city are I would in a heartbeat.
Maybe instead of making it a 1920's LA they could turn the entrance in to a Redwoods or give it some kind of Northen California look.

Like you said about the LA theme being done already, A national park area already exists as well.

They're representing the California that Walt Disney came to when he left Main Street USA, err Marceline, to start the studio.

From what I uderstand DCA's new entrance will be similar to what the original concept was for it. A mission style train station similar to Union Station if not just Union Station all together.

Just think what a perfect trasition that would be theme wise, the main Street Station was what Walt left behind and DCA's entarnce will be what he found when he finally arrived here in CA.

I still think it is repeating a theme already in place in Hollywood backlot

The Hollywood area looks like old Hollywood, the mission stye entrance that may be coming looks nothing like old Hollywood.
