    ... neither.

One of the incredible one-of-a-kind experiences I have had at Disneyland happened to take place after hours. I'm one of the few people who has has had a chance to take the handcar around the main line of the Disneyland Railroad by myself.

Using the handcar is an exhilarating experience, but being able to travel that way, completely alone, was really special. It was a true walk-in-Walt's-footsteps moment.

Disney should offer some similar activities, like a climb up the Matterhorn, to winners. They seem much more fun and adventurous than these glorified hotel stays.

I doubt a winner of the Dream Suite will have access to the park's attractions. That would require a small staff who need to be trained to operate every attraction in the park. And I doubt Disney would have such an offering when routine maitenance is being done to attractions, and when such a small staff would be expensive to pay for.

I scoured the Disney Parks website, Dream Catalog, and official rules for any indication of the concierge that MousePlanet mentioned - I couldn't find it. So I'm not sure where they're getting their info, maybe I just missed it... but MP didn't say that the concierge would get you in any attraction you wanted, and I doubt the concierge would be able to or allowed to operate park attractions if Sam and Sally from Michigan feel the urge to ride Space Mountain at 3am.

The concierge will probably just be able to escort you around the park and keep you company (and out of trouble) while 3rd shift cleans up the park for the next day.

Sounds like a recipe for giving Disney lawyers heart attacks.

    Not that that's a bad thing ...

Not to mention startup times, required tests, minimum crews, leads, managers, closing it back down etc., etc. They'd be bored waiting before all that could be done.

Of course, they could train a universal crew of oldtimers with lookouts posted to alert them "hey, they're heading towards Tomorrowland" or maybe have the concierge 'phone' ahead. Yeah, that's all gonna happen ...

They might be able to give them brooms and let them do some cleanup, though. I mean, even Ed was able to do that with apparently minimum training ...

I just saw the commercial for this and almost fell off my chair!!!!!!!!!

oh... and btw I didn't see it mentioned here that they said on the commercial "for the 2008 give-a-way" during the "year" of a million dreams!!

Also, they had a note at the bottom that said something to the effect that you could enter by mail from 12/17/07-12/1708.

I miss the Disney Gallery, like whoa. It was one of my favorite spots in Disneyland and since a lot of people didn't know about it or didn't go I always felt like I knew a secret when I was inside.

Well, if you don't like the prizes, then when you are offered one, turn it down so someone who wants it can receive it.
    It's that simple.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I'm already missing the Disney Gallery.

It was closed during my last visit.

And now I'll never be able to go inside again.

Would Disney care if enough people asked for the Gallery back?

It's not a hotel suite, it's a prize that will be offered to lucky folks in Southern CA also...(I know quite a few of us locals would jump in there in half a heartbeat!) plus it mentions a couple of the other prizes.

I FINALLY GOT THE COMMERCIAL FOR DOWNLOAD!
It played on ER (NBC) in the first half hour.

I wonder about the people who have said that if they are offered this prize, they'll turn it down out of some kind of protest. That's a load of bull! Anyone would be stupid to deny that opportunity; out of all the years all of us have wanted to spend the night in Disneyland, now we have the chance, and suddenly some of you are like, "I'll turn it down, because I'm a 'Disney purist!'" Please...

This thread has made me wonder, if they suddenly decided to close the Main Street Cinema, would there be entire thread of angry MiceChatters about that too? Does anyone go to the Main Street Cinema anymore?

Nobody goes in there, but if you propose to change it - WATCH OUT, you might as well propose that we stop celebrating Christmas.

You bet there would. ESPECIALLY if it gets replaced by a plush and VMK store like in MK. If it's due to Disneyana expanding, the clamor may be a bit more subdued- but its an original opening day attraction. I still go in there.....on occasion.
