What should be the Mulholland replacement Theme?

So we know from all the press info and inside rumors that DCA's Mullholland Madness mad mouse coaster is destined to be replaced with an enclosed coaster of some sort. - - And that recently a Ratatouille theme under consideration had been nixed.

Given that it's surely to be based on a Disney or Pixar film franchise... what should the new theme be?

    Some ideas:

Disney Villains - - Long talked about for Screamin' - - if that isn't happening this could make a great midway "spook house" theme, and compliment Little Mermaid with a mini-classic-Fantasyland.

The Nightmare Before Christmas - - We've seen how popular the seasonal version at DL is, maybe this one deserves its own permanent ride - - another good "spook house" theme for a midway. Also, someone osted on the net lately that it's under consideration for Disney Studios FLA, and Burton likes the idea of it being a deliberately carnival-cheesy dark ride.

Aladdin - - Turn of the century midways often had faddish Turkish-themed buildings when that was the rage. Could the coaster become a flying carpet ride?

Three Caballeros - - Maybe they could repurpose the cool animated vignettes for the WDW Three Caballeros ride with a Spanish revival facade?

Classic Mickey - - How about a kooky black-and-white Mickey ride with everything alive and featuring the old pie-eyed rubberhose Mickey, Minnie, Pete, Pluto, Dippy, Donald, Horace and Clarabelle? That could be so cool!

Oswald - - Same as above, but with Oswald.

Just move it to Carsland and give it more extensive auto theming.

Then what kind of dark ride should move into the Mullholland area?

Disney should sell the ride to some traveling carnival.

For some reason, it's just the right amount of thrill for a lot of folks. I don't care for it as is, because the theme is non existant. But it's not a bad little ride, and you can see all the digging going on next door where the construction has started on the new wing of the GC Hotel. However, it's noisy and should be moved to Carsland.

I'm in favor of taking OrangeStinger-Pizza-Burger-Rustworthy-Mulholland-Dinostore out, and building King Triton's Castle and an underwater Mermaid Lagoon in that corner of the park.

I would like to see something done with Oswald.... they could combine it with a cartoon release of some sort...

Like the one at Disney Sea? That would be cool too.

PS Why didn't they call the SUNGLASS SHACK the DINO-STORE.

I mean, everywhere else they stretch it "Award Weiners", "Burrrr-bank Ice Cream".

    This one was so obvious.

A like the funhouse dark ride idea w/ Disney Villains.

I would prefer the villains themed the best. Although since piers have some rickety carnival based rides, it should have an immersive feeling that the ride could implode on itself at any moment. Just like riding a carnival dark ride at the fair!

    A little piece of heaven

I like the Nightmare idea. Maybe then I can get a full time job instead of doing kids parties in the off season.

It sounds to me like the Radiator Springs Racers might be an overlay to the current Mullholland Madness? I hope not...

The discribe the Radiator Springs Racers as being an E-Ticket using the Indy technology (which Test Track uses too) so I would think not.

Since they are possibly going to build a NBC dark ride at Walt Disney Studios at WDW I would guess it might not be that either plus it would conflict with the HMH at DL.

I would vote for the villains theme, just hope the theming is more then a bunch of TV screens.

Ha!!! Yeah. Every so often right at the top the lights go out, the track breaks and the car plunges. That would be interesting to do from an engineering standpoint.
And make it extra clunky with some Faux rust on all the cars too with some unattached girders.
