Rainbow Caverns

I saw this on Wikipedia's article on Big Thunder:
The remains of the Rainbow Caverns are seen during the first lift on the ride.
I had never heard this. Is this just Wiki-waste, or are those phosphorescent pools actually lifted from the Mine Train attraction? (I am betting the answer is no)

I actually heard that when the ride first opened Werner. I don't know where I heard it, but it's something I think about every time I ride through that lift.

It's an homage, but it's not in the exact same location as the original and I doubt they had necessity to take the exact same lights and structure and put it there.

The rainbow ridege caverns used real water and flourescent dye to make it.. so no, they are not the same rainbow caverns... the originals were also more compact and not so open.. it also featured more waterfalls than just the one.

Yea on the first lift hill there is a scene similar to the old rainbow caverns.
It pays homage but I don't think I would call it "remains".

The original caverns were located on the other side of the Big Thunder/Mine Train area. They were indeed different--I don't think anything was reused. It's an homage, not a direct lift.

Not the same. New rainbow cavern-esque things were built for that first lift hill, but those aren't the remains of the old Rainbow Caverns...they were built fresh and new for BTMRR.
