Glasses at Disneyland?

Hey everyone. As a general rule, I wear contacts to the park for a fear of losing my glasses on a ride. However, I'm going tomorrow and I just had to throw out my last pair of contacts. So, I'll be wearing my glasses for the first time. Have any of you ever lost a pair of glasses (that were being worn normally)? I have two pair, one pair of black thick frame ones that I wear 90% of the time and a thin pair of wire frames. The black ones have no nose pads to prevent slipping, so should I plan on wearing the other ones? Or am I being too paranoid and should just wear whatever I feel like? Also, are there any specific rides where my glasses would be in particular danger and I should take them off? I appreciate any help assuaging my fears.

I've worn glasses on everything at DL, never lost a pair yet.

Both my husband and I wear glasses. The only ride I take my glasses off on is Screamin'. Otherwise, we leave them. We have not had any problems so far...knock on wood.

My dear wife has never had trouble with losing glasses.

Getting them wet on various rides, YES, but not lost.

I've worn glasses for years. The only problem Disneyland has ever presented was water droplets on the lenses in Splash Mountain and Pirates. But they've never been tempted to leave my head. Assuming yours fit more or less correctly, they won't be, either.

Nope, I've done all three repeatedly with glasses. Not a hint of a problem.

I have worn glasses to the park several times. The only ride I take them off is on Space, not really because I fear losing them, I just like the full wind in my face. You will be fine!

Good to know! I'm still thinking I'll wear the wire frames since they fit a little more snugly than my preferred pair, but I could change my mind. Micechatters are awesome!

When I was a little kid I took my glasses off for things like Matterhorn, Space, stuff like that. Now the sunglasses stay permanently on my face until the sun goes down and I pull out my regular glasses.

Do bring wipes for your glasses, comes in handy after certain rides. Of course, you can always use your shirt.

You're being a tad paranoid.

I as well have a pair of plastic framed Prada glasses that don't have nose pads, and I have never had a problem. The only two attractions I would watch out on are Space Mountain, and California Screamin.

I've worn mine on every ride, coasters and water rides. They've always stayed on.
