Re: What kind of souvenirs do you buy for loved ones?

My mom always gets a new mug - most of which remain unused because she doesn't want to "ruin" them...

Grandma gets some sort of cookie treat!

And just about everyone else gets carmel apples (dipped in carmel, milk chocolate and rolled in oreos - with a gummy worm) from Marceline's! Imagine the looks I get going thru airport security with 20 carmel apples!

Since my mom has gotten magnets for every anniversary we went, when I went with my grandparents last year I brought her home a 50th anniversary magnet (though it's a lot fancier than our 35th and 40th magnets).

Unless someone asks for something specifically, nothing. I'm one of the lone people who buys nothing really for myself, or others.

Something REALLY has to stand out for me to buy it on a vacation as a souvenier. And when I do it's usually a xmas ornament or something like that.

For me it depends on the season, but I always get a postcard, pressed pennies and a candy apple!

We always bring my mom fudge. She's a bit of a chocolate junkie and we're really trying to convince her she needs to go so she can pick the ones she wants to try. lol

I don't always bring something back for my sister and it varies when I do.

We do always buy a new Christmas ornament for our tree though.

ETA: we do always send postcards to friends and family back east as well.

I bring mom and dad goodies from the parks, no trinkets of such, there not into it. my kids get what they want with in reason, but we are not big on souvenirs.

Shirts for the older two daughters, something stuffed for the younger one.

I used to buy their Halloween costumes at Disneyland as souvenirs, two birds, one stone. Or their winter coats.

i work the 7pm to 7am shift in a hospital and my coworkers always request Disney coffee everytime we go to DLR.

Dustin's coworkers are hooked on Disney fudge, so we always bring back 2 boxes of it for them...which creates some interesting moments when going thru security at LAX, apparantly the fudge looks an awful lot like C4 in our carry on bags
