![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker I don't know if anyone has posted about this, but there's a cool article on dvcnews.com that has some interesting information about the Grand Californian Expansion. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Does anyone know what pathways there will be around Carsland? We'll have the main entrance street and I believe there will be a path to connect around to TOT, but will there be a path to connect to Paradise Pier? Also, I heard the parade route will go through Carsland, but I can't picture how that will work. Will it go from PP down the normal route then turn into Carsland and bypass the rest of the current route?

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Mojave, I think they are planning to connect Carsland to PP. It seems like they're going to need to do some theming to the back of the PW buildings though to make that work though so I'm not sure exactly what they're doing but the plan and model do seem to show a path to PP. Also, you are correct, that's exactly what the parade route is going to do. It will not be able to go thru Walt Disney Plaza, because the power lines for the street cars will be too low. So it will take the normal route until it reaches CL then head into CL and down that new main drag that heads towards RSR. I assume before it reaches RSR, it will again turn right, go thru that path toward PP we were just dicussing, and then pass thru a gate into back stage between the two lands. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Thanks Uncle Bob. The theming of the back of PW will be interesting. Seems like it will be similar to the Main Street/Adventureland situation - one side of the buildings will be PW, the other side Carsland. And then there's that big parade float building to hide. I wonder if the parade floats will go out the gate and directly into the float building or if they will parallel it then make a u-turn and enter the building. Additionally, will parades reverse or will they always start on one end and finish on the other? Can't construction start NOW?!

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker I think the cliffs of RSR will mostly hide the parade building. I don't know about the details of the parade planning. I agree, I want to see it get started too. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker There will be no pathway connecting Car Land to Paradise Pier. The height elevation is way diferent. Carland at the moment will have four entry ways. TOT courtyard entry, FFF gate entry (this one is still up in the air), main corridor which is east of the tortilla tour and the Wharf entryway. Parades will no longer travek thru the Walt Disney plaza and grizlly falls performance corridor. parade will exit the parade building turn right into Car Land then head south east to merge into the main radiator spring entrance go north to the soon to be preview center building then turn left and down paradise pier performance corridor and out the Paradise Pier gate |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Thanks Baloo, I meant the wharf entry would provide access to PP, which would give a connection to PP without having to back track to the main entry. I guess that wasn't clear in my post, but it would be a pretty direct route to PP. |

A few related questions: Once guests can walk from TOT to Carsland, how will the backstage areas north and west of FFF be accessed? Will the bridge to FFF be necessary any more? Quote:

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker Is it just me, or is it kinda morbid to be as excited as I am for September 11th to roll along? I have a calendar at my desk at work that counts down to the date with "SEPTEMBER 11TH!!!" written as the target date in bold red marker. It must be alarming to my co-workers. It'll probably be even more odd when they watch me spend an entire morning staring at pictures of walls that Darkbeer will be snapping soon. |
